    Default My next lid.......

    So I managed to drop my helmet not once but twice last week while being harassed by a chick who wanted a ride.

    Since I'm currently pretty much on 'E' financially, I'm now taking donations so that I can ensure all of my gear is legit....You guys wouldn't allow me to continue riding with potentially damaged gear, would ya?

    Oh well, looks like I have plenty time to save up......probably won't be avail. until Mid August. Guess I'll be going to pickup or order another EXO 700 this weekend.

    next up we have the Joe Rocket RKT 101 Rocket Science in Flat Black/Silver/Silver. I have no idea how it feels or performs, but willing to be the 'guinea rider'

    got enough cash for my helmet and went looking for the Joe Rocket. I found the line but not the color I wanted. It fit nice and its lighter than my current helmet. about to order from newenough.

    yo Bucky, how much to spray my current helmet? nothing to extreme, something with gunmetal/graphite/black/silver and and a few words or so. just curious, otherwise this Scorpion is headed to Ebay No Reserve.......

    I'm a Joe Rocket Dealer, so I can get you the helmet no problem. They are pretty cool helmets, and they are vented really well too. Let me know if you have any questions or anything, I'd be more than happy to answer them for you. You will be happier with the Rocket opposed to Scorpion!

    ah man, should of read hear first. I just ordered one for $235 shipped. I do need a tinted shield though, which I have found out are from HJC helmets. Best price I've found so far is $20, what's your price?

    Yeah I was going to tell you that the Rocket helmets were just updated versions of the HJC AC series. There isn't much room for me to play with on shields, but I can do a clear, smoke, amber, or dark smoke shield for $18.99.

    It's here, matches the rashed leathers perfectly....now for a bike to match...... screw fixing this one right away I'm about to take this grand and use it as a down payment on another bike.

    it fits much better than the Scorpion, well the Scorpion was a size too big. The JR is also much lighter. thinking about taking my not so perfect bike out for a ride just to see how the wind noise is on the new helmet.

    i have the joe rocket helmets in stock in both colors, the tinted shields too....$165 on the hemlet and $20 on the shield...

    the rocket helmets are cool looking but i just get the "cheap" vibe from them...i'd almost rather stick with a higher end HJC, anything from the AC line

    oh well...

    So, overall, do you like the Joe Rocket over the Scorpion?
    In the same situation as you waiting for the 1000 to come out. Need a new lid to hold me down till then...

    Scorpion makes much more snugly fitting helmets than HJC.

    As a matter of fact, I heard that Scorpion was started by an ex-engineer from HJC

    my only complaint so far is that air comes in underneath the chin and irritates my eyes.......

    other than that I like it. it's lighter than the Scorpion and just as good or slightly better with wind noise.
