being as how the one trying to round up work hasnt replied..

wet sanding is basically a technique where the person working on the car uses ultra fine sandpaper and water to sand the clear coat on the car, removing any bump scratchs or inperfections. the water is effectively a friction modifier that allows for a smoother finish a better finish. after wet sanding the clear coat is slightly milky because of all the fine scratches and has to be buffed/polished out. after a proper buff job the paint will look like its brand new assuming there is enough clear to work with.

^^ you are right, but wetsand gets out orange peel too. Which gives the paint a completly smooth finish. No ripples or anything. And the scratches left by the 1500 or 2000 grit sand paper is buffed out by using a rubbing compund. Then you use polish then a wax.

orange peel prolly falls into my description lol. do you do this work or do you just know how it works? i was just looking over my car last night and there is an area in the back where someone decided to place their nice big heavy bag on the back of my car while it was at the airport, i can only assume they had a good reason to scratch the shit out of the back of my car

hey guys sorry I've been working all day but yeah you guys are right about wet sanding. To make it pretty simple all your doing is sanding out any inperfections in the paint with no harm done to the color and making the finished product as smooth as glass.

    RE Spyder man
I would have to take a look at the car before I determaned how much and as for the scratces as long as they are superficial scratches in the clear coat I can do that as well. Note if you look at the scratches and they appear white or rusted they have probably gone through the base coat an unfortunately may have to get that re-painted but NE way pm me your # and I'll call you!

i was told by a detailer friend that i have since lost touch with that if you cant catch a nail on it that it can prolly be buffed out. well mine are so shallow its rediculious its only because its on a black car that it is so noticeable. ill PM a number and you can call me whenever. if you have time to come by and atleast take a look in the next day or 2 that would be awesome. i would really like this fixed asap. thanks in advance.

if he wants he can take some pictures of my car, he did some work on it tonight removing some rather nasty scratches on the back of it and a swirl mark down the passenger side c-pillar. the car looks much better now. after washing it and taking a closer look afraid im going to have to take the plunge and have him do it all so it looks even better.

Thanks for the fair pricing and quick service man!

Hey no problem man anytime! I'm glad you were satisfied with the work!
As for the others asking about dent removal I'm sorry to say I don't do any of that. I just take out orange peel in paint wetsand/colorsand and buff/polish! But I am experienced at what I do and I don't over charge for my work. I have fair prices that I think most can agree with. Again thanx for the job Nick and as for any one else if you need some work done PM me!

It can but regular buffing can do that! Wetsanding is mainly for scratches, inperfections and orange peel (wavy paint)! Why do you ask? Just curious or do you have swirl marks?

I have swirl marks and a few waterspots on my trunk, It being a show car, I would love it to be flawless looking. The paint itself is smooth as a babies butt because of the stuff I use as the detail spray ( Shit makes it so slick I cant even get a cover on it, it slides right off it...lol )
