If you want to be the best look for an Apexi Intake. The best and there was a test that proved it to better then HKS and Greddy and other names.

Though if your tight on money buy an ebay intake.

    BPI Flow Stack

Add that to your intake if you a lil more power.

    Test of the filters

The only diff I can tell is you have to keep oiling that bastard vs. Apexi you just walk away.

Heres a pic of the Apexi too.

thanks for the inputs, i just bought the K&N drop in filter for the OEM air box, i have 99 nissan max, feels like a little gain on the top end, but as for noise, it still sounds oem. and for $45 not a bad deal i think.

Not saying any of you are dumb but...

I dont understand what the fascination with K and N is. People think they are going to gain like 10hp. It's stupid the only way you are going to gain that is if your filter is completely full of shit. Then you will gain 10hp but it wont be 10hp over stock, it will be 10 over your numbers you made with your shitty filter. Its an air filter, cmon.

For most cars I would say an intake, except for a wrx. There may be others that dont like intakes as well. Also intakes give you a nice sound if you have a turbo.
