who is the fastest Vdub in the atl area

10's is fucking fast man. The Eip stage 3 turbo R32 runs like 11's, it does get to 60 in 3.2 though. There is a 1.8T in a scirocco making 700 hp, but I have no idea of what the times are for it. And there is a stage 4 R32 but i have never seen times, just a dyno.

As for Girliez's friend he is running a GT35 1.8T, which I imagine is around 350hp, more or less.

Either way..MKII VR6 Turbo can run 10s if done right...

Your 350Z is slow.

There are 1.8T Hondas running 10s. No reason why VWs can't either. They have stout motors and are torquey cars.

I'd rather a 1.8 Honda/VW over an overpriced 350Z.

light modded 1.8t can run 13's at the track and i've seen many NA 350z in the 14's, so you ain't got shit on the dubs considering co$t + motor size.

there have been 1.8t in the mid-high 10's for few years... 1.8t is capable of doing 450whp on stock internals(it won't last longer then 5-10k)... now lets add a couple cylinders and go vr6t you will not have a chance There are vr6t in 8's.

I know a few guys that road race TT, R32, 1.8t... when ever you want to set something up you let me know.

paul, you know i didnt come in here tryin to say my Z is fast, i know its not, but that isnt my goal with that car. If that was the case i would have put all the money i had used on my stereo setup and wheels and put that to boost. Not so much.

This thread wasnt supposed to be a battle of the nismos vs. the dubs vs. the stangs vs. the poopras vs. the yadda yadda yadda. My intial post was not LOOK I HAVE A Z!!! It was who is the fastest dub around.

I know this thread got a lil off topic but I think it is a good idea to figure out who LOCALLY has the fastest VDub.

I know alot who have fast cars but dont know what kind of 1/4 mile times they run since most are set up for street or road courses.
Here are the people I could see being somewhere on the list.

Bryson's 16VG60 A2Jetta (soon to be turbo16V)
Nash's 16VT A1Bunny
Deigo's VR6T A3Jetta
Russ's G60 A2Jetta (havnt rode with him but it seems to be quick)
Mikey's 16VG60 A2GTI (also about ot be turbo16V)
Andy's had a few VR6Ts i think
the A4 1.8T Paul use to own was quick too
I forget the guys name but there is someone with a Blown R32 also around town as well as an A3 jetta VR s/c
Dont know how quick Bertos Jetta is but he has a Turbo ABA in his Jetta
YoYo has some fast cars from what ive heard but dont konw exactly what yet.

Mine should do ok with my setup if it ever gets done. A2Jetta VR6 w/Nitrous

Does anyone know of any Big turbo 1.8Ts in Georgia. I know a ton of stock turbo guys but for numbers deep into the 12s and lower that stock Ko3s isnt gonna cut it.

go there and check out the SOUTH, notice how UGA is actually ranked 40th, georgia tech is on there unranked (so outside of like 60 something), and gsu isn't on there at all

na mine was still 13's... i really would of like to see Adam's setup or if that was a consitent running 13... 13 isn't easy but obtainable. everything is traction with 1.8t. i think high 12s are capable w/ stock turbo w/ manual boost controler + power gaskets.. k04/stgIII should easily be 12's.
