I have owned and raced 2 valved GT's 98-04 and they WILL blow a motor with anything over 12lbs of boost(just a matter of time) and normally run 9lbs with all the supporting mods and make about 400hp at the wheels. and run in the 12's with slicks. i made 513/582 on my stock short block ls1 and we're about to add more....i'd love to see a stock short block 2v do that and it be reliable.
i made close to 100 passes last year, 75% of them spraying and put about 6k miles on the car in the process and haven't had an ounce of trouble
thats great and all but arent you in the thread about lsj's
