I may be wrong, but I believe the one all alone should be straight up from the ground, and the center of the 3 grouped together, is supposed to be at about 11 o clock. I have a Haynes somewhere, but i cant find it haha. I just pull the #1 plug and TDC it that way. Except this last time when i had the head off, i just used a hammer with a rubber handle and pushed the center 2 pistons straight down until they wouldnt go any more lol

the white mark, all by itself represents TDC, and i do believe that the three (red) indicate 14, 16,18 degrees
