I refuse to pay retail and I rather not wait till the weekend on a delivery before I can ride. Weather is supposed to be perfect Saturday and I want some action. It's been about a month and a half since I have rode and I'm phening like a crackwhore.......

what I need is a 180 rear or front and rear combo depending on the price. got my last set of Diablo Corsa III's during a promotion for $225 so that's and trying to find another deal. damn those were some sticky bad ass tires, I would like to have another set but not at the current prices.

it ain't like that........until I get tires I don't officially have a bike.....

well, I got a decent tire that has been patched installed today. I'll put the wheel back on the bike and ride for a bit to try it out when I get home. It's just temporary until I can get a new set.

I'll do takeoffs if they are street series tires and have good tread left on the sidewalls too. Remember I like twisties too, no poser here.........I see a set of BT002's on GSB for $50 but no pics and I've never used a Bridgestone Race Tire. I've rode Pilot Power Race Tires on the street mounted on my previous ZX-9 and I didn't like them very much.

You know the difference between the PP's and the 2CT's, right? It's the same tire except for one thing - the center strip is a harder compund on the 2CT for freeway riding. A harder coumpound actually reduces grip - but in Atlanta, I would still suggest going with the 2CTs if you do a lot of riding. If you do a lot of wheelies, I would stay with the reg PPs. I want to have as much grip as possilbe if I am up-on-1 (but I don't wheelie). You can't lose with either tire though.

I running a set of Qualifiers on 1 of the R1s, and PPs on the other. Both tires seem to be good street tires, and neither seems to just take the advantage.

i may be mistaken but i thought last i read the 2ct was a mix between their race compound and the regular compound on the sides and had the normal compound on the middle. could be wrong though

All of them are supposed to be based on the technology that they develop while racing. The reality is that any of the tires are good enough for our skills. No one is going to put a tire through mroe on the street than the MotoGP riders do on the track. I know that I am not a MotoGP rider, are you? :-)

From what I understood from one of the tire vendors, it is just better for highway - but I might be wrong. Maybe someone has a brochure on them?
