    Default PRICE DROP 1998 SVT Contour Black w/leather, sunroof, power evrerything..LOADED

    Make:Ford
    Model: Contour SVT #4210
    Year:1998
    Milage:70,XXX
    Engine: 2.5 liter SVT six cylinder
    Tranny:5 speed manual
    VIN: Pm for serious requests

    The Good: This car is really nice inside and out. A few lil dings but nothing really serious. Leather interior. Power locks, windows, and a sunroof. Had a new motor swapped in about two months ago and is running fine. It just passed emissions a month ago and is throwing no codes. Everything on the car mechanically works great. The Interior has been kept very clean. The car has 17" svt focus rims and is sitting very clean. Dual exhaust. Cold A/C and Hot heat. White faced SVT gauges. Very fun car to drive. The best looking svt i've seen around.
    The Bad: The car is 10 years old. The leather could look better but there are absoultely no rips or burns. The headlights work fine but they are a little foggy. The front bumper is a little scuffed up but nothing that bad.

    ASKING $4900 or best offer. I'm just kinda throwing it out there to see what happens. Looking for possible trades with a honda. Pm me.

    Well when I put the engine in I just replaced the clutch so it's brand new. The tranny still shifts smooth as can be man. I wish I could keep it but I am fixing to have to drive to Atlanta everyday from Snellville so I need a lil 4 cyclinder these days.

    Why was the motor replaced? Do you have records of it being replaced? I saw you said reason for selling was for gas consumption....what do you get? I have a crazy commute daily too, so I know how that goes but I can pay a lil extra for gas cause this has been one of my favorite cars for a while.

    does your motor have the updated oil pan assembly from the taurus/escape?

    did your old motor spin a bearing?

    I've never actually measured my mpg but a website said this, and it sounds pretty accurate:
    ENGINE: 2.5-liter High Output DOHC V-6
    HORSEPOWER/TORQUE: 195 hp @ 6,625 rpm/165 ft-lbs @ 5,625 rpm
    TRANSMISSION: Five-speed manual
    FUEL ECONOMY: 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, 18.7 mpg test.

    And no I didn't spin a bearing, I blew it all up. Not sure what broke first but damn near broke everything.

    I do not have the updated oil pan assembly but I hear it isn't that hard

    These things with the Vortech SC kit are beasts. And sound awesome with a 40 series Flowmaster.

    I actually like the car and the fact its a svt is a good plus, if its still around I might have to fly from where Im at to look at it, and maybe negotiate! When I get closer to purchasing that is hopefully soon.
