Default FS: Modded 1988 Ford Mustang LX 5.0

    1988 Ford Mustang LX 5.0
    $7500
    [email protected]

For sale: 1988 Ford Mustang LX. Fresh red PPG paint, showing 80,987 miles. This car has a 5 speed T-5 manual transmission. Here is a nice example of a typical Fox body project car. Someone has put a lot of sweat and tears into building this into a nice little performance package. This car surely has $20,000+ in aftermarket parts and labor. It needs a good owner and a little bit of TLC to really bring this project from the final stages into finished product. This car stands tall and the slick red paint pops! I have described this car to the best of my abilities from my own inspection. I did not build this car. I have tried to find the flaws in this car and have done by best to take a picture of all of them. Please see the list of modifications that I found on this vehicle and view my collection of large detailed pictures to answer any questions. If you would like any more information please to not hesitate to email me and I will answer them to the best of my ability!

Thanks for the compliments bro! and the bump!

The car actually has a pretty nice paint job. All of the trim and moldings were removed prior to painting. The engine was removed and the engine bay was painted AND cleared, which goes above and beyond most jobs. The spare tire well was not painted, nor was all of the interior removed and the interior painter, nor was all of the glass removed and the door window hardware removed and the inside of the doors painted.
The lower door moldings were not removed prior to painting because they are discontinued from Ford. 50-75% of the time they get damaged and look wavy after they are removed. If they were to be damaged and the car was missing 1 or both door moldings, how would the car look then?
There is such a thing as point of diminishing return.

That would cost 2500-3000. Wouldnt that be overkill on a decent daily driver that I was only asking 6500-7000 for? Seems to me yes.
That was one of the nicer repaint jobs I have ever seen on a mustang.

As far as the mods.. add them up..
I can get between 15-20k off the top of my head with out trying very hard.
The only upgrades I can think of would be a more expensive rotating assembly, an R block, a blower or turbo, a tremec and a big fuel system.

but then the car woudl fetch 10-15 k IMO.

Running the car down, without ever seeing it.. is pretty lame. Posting some .05 megapixel out of focus, random pic of a car you saw somewhere that couldn in fact be nicer than this one is even more lame.

This car is 19 years old. I will say its one of the nicer fox body cars you will see. I will not say it is a show car or the nicest fox body you have EVER seen.
