Here's my old R1, sold it to finish up my car...had it for sale on here for a good 6 months for $3500, it's a shame no one picked it up.

99' ; polished, carboned and blacked out, just the way I like 'em

thanks. i have seen what it looks like when someone goes down in jeans and i understand they dont do shit for protection but i am aware and can accept the fact. better than riding in shorts and flip flops right? Also- the same thing can happen to you wearing jeans whether your on a bike for an hour or <10 minutes, crashing doesnt have a time limit.

oh and get this- i drive my jeep with no doors or top without a seatbelt sometimes! care to take that one as well?

the actual muffler is down just inside the fairing (look closely). all that's really changed is the tip for the most part, although i'm sure it's less restrictive than the stock part.

If you go down at any reasonable speed, your knees are going to get tore up, with or without jeans. Jeans are not tough enough, unless they are kevlar-reinforced. You'll still be going to the hospital.
Come out to Malibu tonight and look at Mike's knees. He went down in jeans 2 months ago. He is the guy with the yellow 911.
I ride in jeans sometimes. I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying don't kid yourself. Any jeans other than Draggin' Jeans aren't going to do anything about protecting you.

Jeans do tear like tissue paper when you hit the ground (I've ripped many jeans from falling on rollerblades), but they are better than riding in shorts. No doubt you'll still get rashed, but not over every single spec of skin that touches the pavement. Also, jeans protects you from getting skin burns and sunburns from the bike frame when you are out riding.

XR's are still probably the most reliable trailbikes out there. i had an 85 250 then an 87 250 set up for hare scrambles/GNCC races. a little hefty compared to modern stuff, but they will go anywhere and never complain.... i loved plunking up crazy hills past all the stalled out 2-strokes burning their clutches up at the local ORV trails .

    yeah-XR's are great

    I had a street-legal 87' Xr250R -that thing was fun

I got a 93 Xr200 now-you just can't kill them-but you do have to replace fork seals quite a bit if you ride it hard on the jeep roads trying to follow your buddies on 450's-lol
