ok I havent been keeping much on these stories this weekend since Ive been busy, but in the first post of this thread he mentioned someone by the name of Ran "karisma" or Kazama is the correct name, was involved. Just wondering if my buddy got hurt or was involved.

It wasn't Ran who got beat, it was just a tall blonde dude with a speech impediment that got beat (according to a friend who was there). I've seen him out there a few times, and he is always talking shit in some form, so I wouldn't doubt that it was him.

Yeah, back when I was a senior in high school (2002) and everybody just went up to Starbucks and had a good time. The cars may have been more ricey back then, but the overall scene was more fun. Then the cops started running everybody off, causing people to eventually meet in more and more hidden spots, meaning people are more apt to do stupid shit cause they don't think they'll get in trouble. At Starbucks, right by the busy coffee shop, and right next to a major road like Barrett, most people didn't try stupid shit cause they knew tons of people were gonna see them and the cops are right there.Ran (Nate) has the red turbod miata

First of all, fighting is absolutely fucking stupid unless you have to defend yourself, somebody who's in actual danger, or a girl. You can call me a "pussy", but I've never been in a fight because I've never had to be. I don't give people a reason to fight me. Then again, there's some dumbasses out there who don't need a reason, they're just adolesence-driven retards.
Maybe we should all start meeting at the Starbucks again. They have security guys there, so the stupid ass people will (hopefully) stay away, using the excuse of not wanting to deal with "fucking rent-a-cops". Well, guess what, if it wasn't for those assholes, we wouldn't NEED rent-a-cops.
Another thing, Kennesaw is usually very, VERY safe. Why do you think the cops are so hardcore about running people off up here? It's one of the safest places in the Atlanta area to be, there's almost no crime, so when stupid shit like this happens, the cops are gonna be all over it to try and stomp out the problem.
I used to say it was dumb for cops to run people out of the parking lots cause they're just gonna be forced onto the roads where they'll street race. Now I see why the cops run people off.
And Nate (Ran Kizama) is a friend of mine, and so are lots of his friends, so you guys had me scared shitless for a minute there.

starbucks is bullshit now... i can't even pull into there parking lot before getting harassed by the dumbass rent-a-cop they have.. last i heard dude was taken away in an ambulance with a concussion and some cuts to the face. dont know any more than that, i'm sure i'll find out more next weekend if noone else has by then.
I wish the cops would instead of running people off, just have a cop hang out in the general area and make sure shit stays civil. We had a cop do that one time and we said np when he's like "i'm gonna park here between yalls cars and wait for idiots"... wish they'd do that more often, get the dumbasses out of the parking lots and let people that are just there to have fun and hang out be... But no, some dumbass has to start flying over curbs, or tryin' to be a JDM tyte drifter, or start fights... That shits all good and fine when your on your own, but when you get EVERYBODY kicked out cause you want to act like a bad ass, fuck off.
In an ideal world where there was an overabundance of cops, and nobody had to worry about paying their salaries....that'd be great. But in reality, that's a total waste of manpower and money to have a cop sit there all night, just to make sure nobody "does something stupid" These sorts of situations are pretty difficult to handle from the law enforcement's point of view. The best thing they can do is check in periodically and clear the area if things "look suspicious." I wouldn't mind them handing out tickets to all the people gunning their cars in the parking lot, though.
I know you'd have to pay the cop to just sit there, but consider how many cops they have go around just kicking people out of these places... it's the same cops, just this way they'd atleast be catching the stupid folks, instead of showing up late and just kicking everybody out.

i drive there every weekend...and i dont prefer driving there at night....theres the walmart on 41 going towards Mars Hill rd and a Lowes.

I say the Sonic in Acworth would be a good place. It's supposed to be a place for cars to hang out, they stay open until midnight, and it's only 3 exits north of Barrett at the highway 92 exit.
There's also a Sonic on 41 in Kennesaw, between Barrett and Mars Hill.

I never understood why cops have to drive around kicking people out of meeting areas. They are going to need 5 cops to patrol the whole strip vs. 1 cop who just sits in the parking lot making sure people don't get out of hand doing stupid shit. Instead they kick everyone out and instead of the idiot ricers being parked, now they are on the road trying to play fast and furious jumping from parking lot to parking lot. And the mature people can't just sit and hangout like they wanted to.
