IA Camping trip?

Who's down for some fire, alchohol, & food? Sorry girls, no power outlets,

just running water somewhere up in the mountains...a couple waterfalls and a whole lot of woods. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and s'mores then pancakes, eggs, toast, etc. for breakfast

I got a spot that stock cars can make it back but would rather meet up with people then take in trucks or SUV's... it's a well maintained gravel & dirt road but i'd still advise against any modified cars

OK, May 27th is the date rain or shine, i'll make a new thread this weekend with all the details. Let me know, who has a vehicle and what gear you have: tent(s), cooler(s), chairs, etc...

lol, there's one shallow creek crossing...anyone with an intake in the stock location can make it but i wouldn't want to take a decent car off of the asphalt anyways. Working on alternate parking so we can all climb in the trucks and go, there is one gravel lot near but i'd rather not leave the cars there...shouldn't be a problem but never know.

Yeh I remeber we were all getting ready to go but we couldn't find a good day or something like that and never got around to it.

If it was cooler I would probably go. I'd rather not camp in the woods when its warm. That means there will be spiders, bugs, rodents, snakes, etc. I am terrified of spiders. Just thinking about them now gives me the chills.

where do you plan on going jason? sounds like you're talking about forest service roads up near helen somewhere.

Thinking about Dick's Creek/Water's Creek...its an easy spot with no walking and all the gear right there but I'd love to hike in at the Cliff though

I might be down, especially if we do it the weekend after the 6th/7th. I have a huge ass tent, and I can bring my SportTrac. to get people/gear to the site.

i dunno amigo, saw one of those in 'Wrong Turn' mang and it had blood all over it from a camping trip.

dude, fuck a tent.. bring a sleeping bag and a pillow and your set.. there's nothing better than sleeping outside...

also, jason, dicks creek is prime... I love it there.. plus it's 45 minutes north of me..

...lol, and if you sleep outside anywhere near water (ie river or lake) you'll wake with a nice layer of dew on you too...but it's still fun to go to sleep under the stars

Looks like I may make it May 6th-7th. Long story...girl at work is pregnant and about to pop so i can't put in for vacation otherwise i was planning to go to Miami and the Keys for a week or so in May but now i can't so it doesn't really matter when i make the camping trip, blah.
