Some guys i know are tryin to get a meet together to go to th tail of the dragon at deals gap in NC. Any of you fellas on interested in going? We are planning on going begining of June sometime. I will keep yall posted but i wanted to see if anyone would be interested on here.

ya, as long as you stay in your lane and stuff everyone up there is cool. But if you cross the line, or just drive stupid, you will have a bunch of angry bikers hunting you down.... and they can catch you!


we've had nothing but good experiences up there in the past, most of the bike guys actually appreciate cars, they just don't like retards, bikers or car drivers!

It's funny you say that about the bikers cause it's usually those sport bikes that are in the wrong lane. I about took one out the last time I was up there. he was atleast 4 feet in my lane when we saw each other. By the time we passed each other, he was still almost a full 2 feet in my lane! Luckily enough it was at the point that I was on the inner most part of the corner myself...

The only time I would ever go over the line is when I can clearly see if there is oncoming traffic. Even then, I try to stay away as tires don't grip the lines as well as the blacktop!

ya there is a fair share of STUPID bike riders up there too. THe good guys gripe them out too! They just try to keep it safe for everyone up there!

Yeah, that was the first weekend I had it. I've since gotten her tuned. She's treating me good now. Had a few bugs but it's expected on a car with a swap w/o much documentation.

I just emailed them that Team Interlude will be there in July...

And britt, I swore that when I saw them coming that I snapped that pic. Remember that we where parked and I had the camera taking pics of all the cars as well as you and your boy.

But it's hardly something to argue about.

I need to make a camera mount in the car and get some footage myself...

i made it from the dragon to my doorstep in buford in 2 hours flat, but that was on the bike and heading back early due to an emergency so add at least a half hour to that for the same run. that is taking 129 all the way to gainesville then hitting 985 to my house. there are other routes to get there as well, you can loop up the cherahola skyway and come up the back side of the dragon which is also a fun road. it's not as tight as the dragon but it's long sweepers with a few closing radius in spots that tend to catch you off guard.

a few tips for someone who hasn't been there yet:

-stay in your lane! no exceptions to this rule, just do it and everyone's happy .
-if you can't see around a corner then assume that there's something on the other side. i've been through there several times and come around blind corners only to find stopped traffic for a wreck or a semi truck taking up the entire road.
-there are tons of people up there that can't drive and lots of squids on bikes who can't ride worth a damn. always be aware of what people around you are doing.
-don't ride someone's ass if there is slow traffic, especially if it's a bike... you've got all day to run up and down that same 11 miles of road.
-last but not least, there are no trophies, trophy girls, champagne bottles to spray on each other, gatorade jugs to dump over one another's heads or any combination of the aforementioned at the end of the road. don't treat it like a track like so many seem to do.

well the lexus meet will be there on the 28th of may as well as a million bikers. Or june 4th will be the suby meet along with another ungodly amount of bikes.

don't get to look around much when on the bike and following a fast group, but it is a nice road with good scenery.

ZDayz is May 20-22 a bunch of Zs & other Nissan/Infiniti plus whoever else shows up. They're expecting around 200 cars. Any bikers up there that weekend will be hating it.
