DSD Round 1:Afternoon Delight- April 28, 2013

Dirty South Drift will be hosting our first event of 2013 on April, 28th. This event will be located in Cordele, Ga at The Watermelon Capital Speedway. This will be an open driver event. This event will be one of many events this year, we are looking to host events in the future at other locations such as Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motorsports Park and other locations in the Atlanta area. This event will help fund other bigger events in the future, please help pass the word on so that we always have a place to drift.
At this time we are currently looking for sponsors. Current sponsors as of right now are Grip Royal, Duwerke, Midtown Tire, and JDM Parts Garage. If you know of anyone wanting to help out the drift community and have some fun while doing it, please have them contact us.
Entry fee will be $50 pre register and $75 at the door with a driver cap of 35 drivers. This event should fill up very quickly like our previous events have in the past. Two run groups will be held during the day to maximize seat time. There will be a Tandem run group and a Singles run group. If you sign up for Tandem, please note that will will be checking cars for the proper safety equipment for tandem runs. This includes, cage/harness bar(note:cage is not a requirement, but it is a something we would like to see. We would like to not have NEW drivers driving tandem, please let us know if you want to tandem and if we know you and have seen your driving then we will let you know), battery tie down, helmet, seat belts, nothing loose hanging from the vehicle and no major cracked windshields. We also be picking who is in the Tandem group, if you never had experience drifting or tandem runs please do not sign up, we will bump you down to the Single group. Single run groups will need everything that was just mentioned except a cage/harness bar.
We will also be having a special guest, Formula Drift driver Chris Ward.
The schedule will be posted soon and sent out by email to anyone who pre registers. The event will start at 8am and go on til around 5pm. Also the event registration form will be sent out to you once pre registered. Please pay for the event soon, it will fill up quick. With a driver cap of 35 spots, there isn't a lot of time to waste. Once you send in the registration fee via Paypal to [email protected] , you will get an email with everything you need for the event including, registration form, schedule and rules/regulations.
