hahahhaha
There is no need to do it. It's completely immature and uncalled for.
To be honest, and in using common sense, the noises heard there were more deemed for a track setting and not a car meet. If you think these meets are for people blasting exhaust fumes all over the place, then you are probably one of those who did this and maybe should go to Commerce for the next IA meet. Later, QD.
Not a problem for me. I like having the ability to hear. Like I said, if being a dumbass is supposed to be expected of this culture, then I have no use for it. I enjoy being an adult with common sense
LOL you trolled that guy hard. I didn't think he'd fall for it!
i feel you on the thievery part. i also feel you on a few other points. i can understand if you have a BA motor build with ITB's , etc. and you get asked to start it up and rev it a few times. but the constant bouncing off the rev limiter of mostly stock engines, air horns, bikes, etc. was udderly rediculous. but maybe i too am getting old ....about to turn 30.
yes!!!
coincidence?........................hardly.
very fucked up......
"Racing is life. Anything before or after is just waiting." - Steve McQueen
never did i rev but just a little to let a group know that i was trying to pass through because they obviously couldnt see or ingnored a bright ass red car trying to get through.
but some of you guys act surprised like omg i never thought reving wouldnt happen in a enclosed parking deck....i mean cmon.
I chilled by my car for the most part. There was a lot if revving going on but I already knew that was going to happen. I enjoyed the meet though and met a couple people.
Like nemesis said the mainstream meet was definitely quieter and I guess had more mature people somewhat.
I liked all the dumbasses going the wrong way around the parking deck, going up the down ramps, with several cars coming at them. Revving is fine, but limit bouncing....i mean come on....
I saw some cars, so i was happy, even though I felt like i was going to die from carbon monoxide poisoning.
None of the children revved at mainstream because it was out in the open and not like the parking garage where it makes shit louder. Every time someone revved the shit out of their car/bike I was hoping the engine would blow the fuck up...that shit would be hilarious.
lots of nice cars guys... Nemisis, I saw your stang, not a stang fan at all, but I'll take your keys anyday bro lol.
if anyone got a shot of my car, lemme know. I only stayed about 2hrs, had to head back down to work. btw, this is mine.

You call some people out about complaining about all the loud ass revving.......here you are complaining about people not moving out of your way. You someone special that needs a clear right of way or something?
Pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.
It's cool if you want to rev a little but when you do it obnoxiously knowing your car is straight piped with no cat......then it becomes immature and completely not needed. Let's not turn this into a battle of wits. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but don't bash people.
bad-ass meet hands down. 09, maybe had 600 cars.. last year, about 1000-1500... Quality vs Barrett/BP? lol, no comparison. If it went to AMS, well it will just turn into a nopi nats and cost us alot of money. The fact Don and staff are doing this for us in ATL, we should be grateful.. They aren't out to make a whole lot of money off of this event like Nopi was. The fact is a meet and there is no judging and having to worry about being judged and etc, makes it a whole lot better...
I can understand the pricing point on having it at AMS but NOPI got greedy as fuck and every person that was involved in the scene when they were charging around 70 bucks a ticket knows they were.
And if you are sweatin your ass off in 70 degree weather just walkin around lookin at cars, you need to maybe look at workin out a bit lol
IA as a business= Success i cant believe that many people showed up. I give props to their marketing team.
IA as a car meet/get together= I could really care less. I saw nothing that impressed me, i stayed for 20 min because my GF had to stop by there for work before we went to the braves game (which by the way was way better entertainment). There was def a fair share of kids revving in the parking garage like OMG I HAVE NEVER HEARD AND EXHAUST BEFORE. but i expected that.
All in all i think if you are still in this scene its a great event and people will have fun. WHat i realized is i really do not give a shit anymore about the car scene and the people in it. But it is still going strong. So thats a plus if you are into it.

I love this one, it so funny

I still think we need to do another tunerfest...........
find a parking lot that holds 3000+ cars lol. or AMS.
actually if it were held outdoors it would probably be rained out every year..sigh ga weather-always rains at the worst time
Honestly not sure how anyone can really complain. Its not a show, its a meet, you pay only $5 and the nickname is "Honda Alliance" so you should have some general expectations. In 3 short years this show size has grown 5 fold and its amazing to see it grow for yourself. Its in Atlanta, where most of us live so that is great, no long drive needed. We took NOPI Nats for granted and its gone, lets not do the same here.
Gotta be honest here with tons of Hondas, modified cars you know some people are going to rev like crazy. Also common sense should tell you it will be loud since its in a parking deck where the noise will echo. So buy some EAR PLUGS and bring them since it can get tiring after awhile.
The meet is not really to drive around in, its to park and walk around. It reminds me of the old club days in Buckhead, most people walked and club hopped and you had some people that just insisted in cruising in their cars then complaining about people walking around.
If you want to see exotics and really incredible cars, wake your butt up to be at Caffiene and Octane at 8am. Otherwise don't be surprised there are none here. Different meets attract different people. Keep your glass half full, I thought it was great to see so many cars and out of towners here pouring money into the local economy and enjoying themselves. The police were pretty damn liberal and people acted pretty good considering there is minimal security there.
I agree there is a lot of crap there and a lot of the same ole same old but there were some different rides here and there like the old school cars, the VIP cars and some people parked their clubs or like cars together. What isn't crap is the ENTHUSIASM, its great to see people, especially young people still be enthused about cars considering gas is $4. I told a bud there that you have to give the Honda guys props for dominating meets and bringing so much enthusiasm that spreads to other brands.
Its great in the parking deck b/c even if its not hot, standing/sitting in the sun for hours can get old. Its great that it is covered and if it rains people would likely still come. It also is a great central location for everyone to come down too.
Great meet!

well said!
We enjoyed it !!! Better than anything we have in Augusta, plus it's in a covered garage !!! Might try this here in our area.

On this note, complaints are unnecessary. It was, all around, a fantastic day of chilling out.
This is actually a good thing. This meet here was 100x better than the last decade or so of NAPI shows. They messed themselves up.
You're right that people will rev. But the extremes that people were doing it on Sunday were completely unneeded. Common sense should not only tell you that revs will be louder in a parking garage, but it should also tell that to the drivers doing the revving. We shouldn't have to be going out of our way to buy ear plugs. As I stated before, this is a meet, not a dragstrip.
Thank you, sir! Lolol.
All points here are spot on, dude. All in all, I had a great time. Later, QD.
I would say the parking lot at Turner Field.
Still centrally located, and there is plenty of
scenery around as well.
I figure if there is enough parking there for all the
Braves Fans, then it would be suitable for IA !!!
Also, it was good to say hi to you again QD !!
Now carry on as usual !!!
Completely agree with you. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear, I agree the revving constantly is childish and out of line, just saying I knew it would happen anywayThus bring ear plugs. Or hit these people with golf balls
I think there are more and more people looking forward to seeing the old school cars. Being a heritage/history kind of guy one has to respect where it all started and it is much rarer to see than most anything else at this meet.
Meet was awesome!
