Wondering the same thing myself...he is hurting my feelings :<

What's sad is that Mike specifically asked at our meeting for wheelie bars to expand the Showdown class. Despite the fact that this hurts him in the competition. I guess we see the true sportsman in this.

Good luck on the next pass.

    Dear Mr. GASTROKER,
The comments have been constructive you just don't like what is said. Its a forum if you don't want to be pick on then don't comment. I'm the only person man enough to say what I feel cause you or any of your dsm followers cant do shit or don't want to hurt your feelings. I think is shows great leadership to have die hard followers even though you aint completed one event since ......? They used to say if you wanna beat mike race him best 2 out of 3. But I will make you a better one. Your car my car heads up any track for k. The first track day of 2010
I just wanna bring the fun back in racing....go ask mommy or BLK DSM or dsmrookie for a loan if you aint ready for it.

I'm sure there is parts left over from my dsm work bench if you need it

I'll be at the track next weekend. silverdollarraceway.com Not sure if you've been there since 2007. last time I've heard of your car being at the track was Nov 2008, when it blew up. Sounds like our cars do the same thing... Break. Oh, the last event I completed was Aug 16th in Ohio. The DSM shootout. A whole month and a half ago. Ancient history I guess. Since you "know your history" so well.

People can and have said what ever they wanted to about me. I know my car beaks a lot. Its a fucking DSM, what else would you expect. I didn't hand pick a purpose built drag car 9 years ago. I bought a car that I liked. It was my only car at the time. Good for you that you hand picked a better paltform for a purpose built drag car. The difference is you're just being hateful for spite. Not construtive. But hey, if that's how you want to be then fine with me.

    Mr. DSMRookie,
    The reason is
    1. I'm in the US ARMY protecting your freedom & way of life.
    2. You spend more money on trofies then gifts and MONEY.
    3. The rules for showdown just changed.
    4. Your payout for the top class is like childs play.
    - it takes money to bring money 500bucks don't pay for
gass or food for a fast teams.

Since you got all the question/answers. Tell me why we are the only state that don't have but a few fast import cars.? I will tell you Not enough Track or Dyno days, not enough import shops, No race Seminars And until the tracks prep the track and take import serious all your going to get is street cars.

A statement I agree with. We don't have enough.
But that doesn't stop me from doing it. By hosting events like Import showdown, we are trying to promote faster better races and imports. The more people that show up, the better the payouts are. Don't forget that the GADSM and the Import showdown group are a non-profit organization. They do not make money off the race. It all goes back to the winnings. all the people that work the event are volunteers, none of them get paid. Tell me how that's not at least trying to make the Import scene better here in GA?

Look at the Import Face thread. You'll see where I was questioning the event holders about why (what should be) the fastest class, the Outlaw class, has a lower payout??? My goal in this respect is the same as yours.....would you not agree?

You tell me what track day you know that everyone running it gets paid cause i have an application to fillout. Its for the love and the sport, even if you got a 100hp or a 1000hp car you can learn alot from a dummy. I hate that most damn v8 dudes talk crap on every import cause he beat a few leaving the local gas station. Cuz dumb ass just got a new exhaust and intake now he's calln on real cars that have torque/power; power to weight and my favorite BOOST!

The Message is in behalf of tuning. Put more money on the table keep the trophies. Have a Top E.T. class make it so when I go home I'm ready for the next track day. Same cars same times no entertainment.

Sorry I don't take photos of my cars....If you like there is a few floating in the rx7 forums. Or maybe some one can be so polite to show a pic or two that went to one of the events please. Its nothing special just a machine.

I'm building a 1973 240z with a RB2?(t76) good for the street again. I had it at the VARSITY one day stock. I like small cars big motors...talking about it gets me so excited.

    Seven,

So you joined the ARMY out of your own choice yet you blame GAstroker for something he has no control over? You bash an event because its not good enough for you? The event has never been about the money. The event is meant for enthusiasts and the cash prizes are an added bonus. Last I checked Mike doesn't have a "team" so why are you up on his nutts? He at least made it there.

For your questions I dunno man why haven't you opened a shop and trained everyone?

I will add that I appreciate what the men and women of our country do for us. This does not mean we are proud of your actions right here as a citizen.

    ok MR. Rookie,
On and off the battle field I'm a example of the ARMY!! Know who and what your talking about before to start typing away. You jumped your lil candy @ss in the forum and replied. This is a forum which you can choose to surf or get the hell off I don't care. You were smart to include that you are thank full for Armed Forces that protect your young happy @SS and allow you to play with your dolls at night with your mommy. Before you try to play a side find out what the d@mn convo is about. Otherwise sit your Bitch @ss back and enjoy the show.

    Hey Rookie
Let this be known i didn't Bash the event. You ask me a series of damn question like a happy ass reporter and I told you how I felt per question. But I forgot one question: You asked me why I don't have a shop. Well anyone that knows me can say I have attempt to bring to the tunning industry. With a dyno shop but the owner bailed out and sold it to a buddy elsewhere. Futher more when I stop instructing men how to fight I will hire your ass and instruct you to clean my shop floors.

the amount of competitive sport compacts in GA are lower than other places that have the races, IFO is kind enough to COME BACK this fall to try again from the rain out so we need to show them what we can bring to the events closer to home, if no one shows up then you know why the sport compact scene in GA sucks, because to many soft people. Yes we have more quick cars than AL, MS, SC, but florida is huge and they have a whole 4 race series all to them selves called the NSCRA which may go regional next year plus battle of the imports and a couple of IFO races.

What about air time..Radio stations or like in florida local t.v. shows. I know it all cost a lil cash but hell its good for the next event or the sport. Does anyone work for the local Newpaper, T.v. or radio stations? Hell a nice gumball run to the track would be nice to see.

I know the RX3 but I don't think I know you personally. I may know your name but can't figure it out. Look man I'm just a import drag racing enthusiast. I just think you're kind of out of line. I love shit talking but over the net is gay. I've learned that over the years. Believe me. I've talked shit w/ the best of them when I had my hatch. It just made me look like an ass. I backed all my shit talking up but you'll never win. Do the shit talking at the track in person. Man I miss the shit talking we did back in NY at the street races and the track.

    Music playing in the backgroung......
Bro you still on that shit? I'm excited you know my car and not the driver. But easy on the dick sucking. You think you know the shop and RJ its a small freak'n world wanna a cookie...door prize for you when you leave. The shit talking is the reason your shit gets faster, its the reason why you take your lazyass to the track and learn the car before you speak. People(Shop) put on blast teaches that you have to crawl before you try to battle. Just because you turn a wrench for a dealership don't think your the only one with a car.

Thanks for the 2 young man. But that was so long ago pull your panties out your ass and move on. I wont talk about your mechanic I see you wasn't willing to open your wallet.

I'm confused as fuck w/ what's going on here! LOL. But does Seven own the orange Rx7 in the pic you posted? B/c if so then I know who he is. Well - I know who owned back in 05 - 06 if it's the same owner.

    Mr BabyJ
Yes I did own the orange rx7 back then. I have built other cars thus far but The gentleman AKA BLK DSM got a little touched when I put a friend on blast for entertainment only. No big deal i'm trying to move on I said what I said.

Yeah - I ran you back in 05 --- red EF hatch w/ a 100 shot of gas from a roll. (we ran in Riverdale somewhere). I stepped out from the kick (for a whole lot shorter than I thought I would - LOL) until the 7 made boost and then proceeded to get raped down Clark Howell or 85 N towards 139. I can't remem the road. After the pull I called you on your phone to say that your tailpipe was on fire - then you revved real quick and said "how about now" -- then I said "ok - it's out" - LOL. Good times.

I remem this, bc we set the run up in the Publix lot - exchanged numbers, and rolled out to the spot. As SOON as we got to Old Nat the road was bocked w/ cops (we thought it was for us) and we all broke up... turns out that there was an accident or something the cops were working.

That 7 was def quick back then. Good to see ya back on the boards. Seemed to be a pretty kool dude. As far as racing goes... when it stops being fun for ya then it's prob best to hang it up. That's directed at EVERY1 in the scene who can't relax and keep the egos parked in the garage.

LOL... Man you are so right.
Them days back then bro. I got off the street scene cause of the cops and stuff....long story. Coming from Japan the cops was only there to pick up the parts if you had wrecks or direct traffic. But I'm back on the streets and the track so I will be looking for lunch or dinner out there..joke. My rx3 is for the shop cars that wanna play rough and the 240z is for the ones that cry cause its a drag car.

    What you pushing now?

Yeah it was fun back then. These kids ain't got no damn manners these days -- at 30 years old I find myself looking across parking lots at midnight wondering "what the fuck am I still doing this for?" - lol. Other times, I know I'm right where I need to be. Who knows.

^^ Rods and pistons EF (same car - different heart)... gt30r. No plate right now - but it's only been tuned just over a month. Nothing special - and nothing to talk shit about really circa 400whp... wrong-wheel drive. In all honestly I may let it go and do something different. I don't have the desire for a track-only car but I may get the bug over the winter to put something simple together. This shit goes in up-down phases for me... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in the "down" phase right now. LOL. I'll be back tho - for now basically chill mode and watching every1 else's shit come together.

Damn I'm glad you said that shit about the kids and manners. Thats what most of them think cause they got a car given to them(mommy and Daddy) and they put 5k into it mostly in JDM body parts and Stickers they know how to build a car. I hate the fact that I was beating the streets when some of them was still sucking on breast milk. So now I got to pull the belt out a bring some act right(a real car) to somebodies son.

this ass whop'n is going to hurt them more than it hurts me...LOL

You said something earlier that I just thought about... "shop cars". I mean - are there any GA shops really drag-racing? And I don't mean "our favorite customer is flying our banner" - I mean TRUE shop cars? I can't think of any - maybe JJSPEC?? IDK

hmm. Thats so true most of the shops has that one client that spent the money and now they are a proud member of the shop " sponsorship" I don't know of any shop cars doing anything worth breaking the bank for.

But if you aint putting out fast cars what are they doing??? oil changes, and tune ups? Can somebody please ponder on this.

Maybe in this economy there isnt enough business to support many shops and the expenditure of shop cars. Batlground had the Supra way back when....moved to drifting and are looking at something else to add to their capabilities. I do not know about the other shops as I dont have an import.

Yes we have more quick cars than AL, MS, SC, but florida is huge and they have a whole 4 race series all to them selves called the NSCRA which may go regional next year plus battle of the imports and a couple of IFO races.
I was also racing at both IFO races in Gainesville, FL. The 2nd one got rained out but I stayed over night until Sunday to run in the grudge matches. I will be at Commerce in 3 weeks for the this IFO event too.

the last fast shop cars I remember being done were AAP's Supras. The main one hit 8.2's I believe. They've since been bought out by R2B2 and do a bunch of car show crap now. I don't know if they ever still run the Supra's or if they even still have them.

Your to kool bro I like your attitude.
Thats what I was told its all about. Being proud of your choice of weapon and battle like true gladiators. People take it to darn serious, V8 or a bike you own it have faith in your shit.

Mike will get his shit together eventually. I have been where he is and was running a lot slower while doing it. You keep finding the weak links and upgrade. If he wants to RACE and not just tnt like me, he should turn the power down so he can go rounds and work on that 60'. He could get more et out of just the 60' than he could by adding 300hp on the last half of the track. I will say this.....he has the balls to keep showing up....he breaks but he is out there trying to work out his combo. You gotta give props to him for that vs some of the keyboard racers out there. Nobody likes the embarrassment of breaking but it happens when you lean on it and he's leaning on it.
