Sammy from tiger racing won the rwd.

His fastest time of the day I saw was like an 11.9 but he in the finals he ran a 13.3 or so.

My times should have been better, but my damn transmission. The trap was nice...the car pulls soo damn hard on the top of 3rd and 4th. I reeled in the 1st 2 cars I lined up against.

Your car is a 12sec car on slicks. One of my customers, whose car I tuned, did pretty well today. Before today, he hadnt run better than a 14.4. Well, the slicks went on, and his times got much better throughout the day, with him eventually running a 12.8@109 in the final round of the Showdown class, and actually taking 2nd place, lol. His car was a red 2nd gen FWD Eclipse. He was making almost identical power to your car, and when I was helping Dan with your car the other night, we both were saying how deceptively fast your car really is. Not to mention, he was running with no LSD either. The track times dont do it justice at all. If you had slicks, it would be a totally different story, and would most likely be even faster than the 12.8 that my customer ran.

My fastest run of the day was just what I expected, 14.2. I never can get better than a 2.4 60' time in that car .....

Yea, I mean I can tell my car is fast and should be running way lower then what it was. Just when I finally got the hang of how to launch it my 2nd gear decides to screw up. Oh well there is always the spring.

I'd like to thank everyone who came to the event (race or watch) and those who have supported this event. It was definitely a blast. The track seemed pretty slick, both from my personal experience and from the comments made. I promise to take this an item to discuss with the track for 06.

Turnout was amazing. I think it could have been even better had the weather looked better. But not a drop of rain fell and we ran the whole day. 700 people and 150 cars made 1100! passes. This is right inline with the 750/140 we had for the Spring event.

I'm looking forward to hearing some feedback from everyone on improvements. For 06 we'll have the opportunity to shuffle some classes, look at moving to Saturdays, and a host of other improvements! This event is for all of you, everyone who comes, so feel free to make suggestions!

Congrats to all of the winners and I hope everyone had a great time! I had a little more time this time around to walk around and talk to people, and felt good about what I heard. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

Some RWD cars don't get traction because their back tires aren't on the ground, yet FWD or AWD cars don't have that problem, yet they don't get to use wheelie bars because they're (wheelie bars) not used on the streets. Last I checked, neither were slicks.

I drive a FWD car, so I know about traction (even though I don't have any), but if this race is to be 'fair', don't restrict other vehicles to accomidate just us FWD cars.

For it to be "fair"; if a FWD can use slicks, then so can everyone else. They're basically giving FWD cars the crutch here, and that is by no means fair.

Basically, my point being, don't claim to try to make it a fair playing ground for all cars when you make rules to benefit one certain type of car, which is FWD in this instance. This is all.
    Sorry I missed this sooner.

I'm assuming this question is directed at the Showdown class? The idea is to provide fairly similar 60 foot times. A previous poster mentioned FWD on slicks (in good conditions) can cut a 1.6 60 foot, which is what an AWD can do on drag radials, and a RWD can do on DOT approved (there are a lot of impacts to this we know, but generally speaking from results of the events we've collected, then generally average out). So the "fair" part is that you limit everyone to a tire that produces similar results. It's a different type of fair, but considering that we deal with primarily sportsman racers, we are limited in the areas we can restrict. People are not going to greatly modify their setups for our event. Nor do we expect them to.

So if your thinking fair means if we allow one group to run one thing, the others should too. Then your right, no it's not fair. But our intention wasn't to be fair that way. Our intention was to be fair but ensuring that one group wouldn't have a significant advantage over the other, which is why we choose the types of tires we did.

All of this is always open to discussion. So whether you agree with us or not, we do take note of peoples suggestions, and the results. We didn't greatly modify our classes from Spring to Fall to try to help things run smoothly. However, the classes are wiped clean for 06. We'll definitely look at all of these, the results. I just want to be sure everyone knows that we actually try to pay attention to as many comments as possible. We put this event on for everyone who comes, so your input matters. We change everything and unless we go to bracket racing, nothing will be completely fair. As you can see, there are even different ideas of what fair itself means. Hope this helps at least explain the thought process. Your comment suggestion is noted.

Nope, I should have haha but 13.9 was the best I could pull all day.

My traps were good for low 13s tho.

very well said... AWD and RWD can knock 60fts the same as FWD with slicks if not better.... i mean most of us cut 1.6 once in a while and mostly 1.7 60ft and i know that RWD and AWD can do the same also....

We didn't run our car because we had so many customer cars there running... which placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in the AWD class.... humm... guess it was an easy day for us.

you should learn that before you can claim "WE HAVE THE FASTEST EVO IN GA" maybe you should beat the current fastest time... i don't think i saw anyone in 11's in the AWD class but an eclipse, which you didn't build
