im thinking most of the people that might have a problem with it might yet not be old enough to carry one legal.

but that saturday night after I went to Helen (alone) because I got split up from everyone else somehow and didnt feel like waiting around not to mentian (and im not dissing ANYONE...im just saying) we all love doing this and $$$$ is ALWAYS in short supply, BUT some of the cars I saw were barely running, like they were wrenching that shit in the parking lot and it would barely start! just my PAINT and BODYWORK cost more than most of the ENTIRE CARS that I saw at that meet.

and the idea of someone cracking a rotor or having someones shitty fuzion tire give out when im 5 feet away from them going 45mph through a tight turn...well its just not worth it to me.

Keep in mind I am NOT hating or bashing!, we all have to start somewhere, just dont think you can do a run in the mountain safely at high speeds without alot more work or you WILL endanger yourself AND others!

but for you guys with an older accord which THAT is very similar ill give you a clue into how much work it took to even get THAT far.

bought the car 3 years ago for $5200 it is an original black 1995 prelude VTEC (with original black leather interior, which is rare as FVCK if any of you know about these cars)

then blew the original H22A1

so this was when I reached a tipping point I didnt go back from

new H22A $1300 shipped (didnt need the tranny cause the original was in good shape)
but since it was out...

Stage1 fidanza clutch
12lbs fidanza flywheel

about $500

new master cylinder/brake booster, rack and pinion, timing belt, water pump, wires, plugs, new dizzy, 3 radiators! (kept blowing them up) basically EVERYTHING under the hood.

could run upwards of $2,000

JDM front clip (extremely rare) $1,300

door trim/windshield, quarter panel windows (special order from dealership) Just the quarter panel windows were $150 a PIECE! trim/door seals for both sides close to $400

so all trim...close to $1,000

tokico blue shocks with skunk2 coilovers $800

rota boosts /nitto neogen tires about $1,000

paint ALONE was $2500

and labor for some stuff was not included

I guess I picked a 4th gen prelude because you NEVER see them in good shape and tastefully modded.

If I wanted to go really fast there are alot easier and cheaper ways.

we got 2 240sx owners in our car club...there great cars with alot of potential if you got deep pockets so im not going to bash em, but they are also as common at car shows and at meetups like the ambiguous civic hatch and integra.

it all depends on what you want to do. I could give a **** less if im any faster than ANYBODY. you could have a 240 that goes 300mph on the salt flats in utah for all I care. I would compliment you on your work and go back to happily wrenching only my "lowly" FWD prelude

and my car club was meeting up a barrett pkwy. the owner of FORGED was up there in his new nissan GTR, that thing looks like a PAIN IN THE ASS to wrench!

WORSE than a 300zx, the motor is just shoehorned in there, he said he had to take off the entire front bumper just to swap out the radiator! FUCK THAT!

wasnt talking to you about tandem. i was askin breezybaby if she wanted to. and s14 are not as common as s13....and i drives s14. and i dont have all the money in the world but all it took was an sr, little bigger turbo and bigger injectors and bam im keeping up with 11 sec cars so money isnt realy isnt a factor. you dont need deep pockets to make a 240 go fast. if you know what your doin it doesnt take a lot of money....well sometimes cause everything on my car is legit and not half ass. altho i do need a power fc instead of this gay safc2. but for the most part dude im fuckin with you. as i post you can obvioulsy see im kidding around and anybody that knows me can tell you thats my personality.
