mangarelli pizzeria near fayetteville is pretty good pizza, kinda like the renaissance pizza place.
I will probably be out.
Def 2 wheel. look at the front drive-side tire, no front axle.
LB and I will be enjoying a few good roads in the mountains all weekend.![]()
What did you get for it now?
It should be a good weekend. I didn't get the GoPro Hero in time so I'll just have to use my standard definition GoPro this time around.
I'm more excited that I finally fixed my boost issue and the car is a whole different animal. Next fix in line is to correct the turbo position which is going to be a total PITA to do. I'm def. not looking forward to doing that.

If you're driving for another OE replacement then don't bother going. lol. Anyone local have a Forge unit you can buy?
Yes, the Subie is much much better. It can actually get out of it's own way now. The issue was found in the coupler that connects the IC to the FMIC. I replaced it with a coupler that has a "hump" in it to allow for any necessary flexing. Replaced the one on the passenger side of the IC once I got home last night for precautionary measures.

There are no local Forge dealers, but I was thinking maybe going with APR R1 since it's maintenance free for the life of the DV and is still diaphragm based instead of piston based(requires lubrication every 6 months or so). It's huge debate on which one is better. A lot of people say that the piston based DV is slightly slower and can cause a flutter, but some people have adjusted them so that isn't an issue. I haven't heard anything wrong with the new APR R1, seems that they corrected the diaphragm ripping issue.
Wow, that's nuts. How did you find it? Were you just double checking every coupler?

I performed a smoke test on both the intake system as well as the intercooler stuff and it showed it's nasty face within seconds. Car doesn't seem to smoke as bad now either (being that it was running super rich before).
If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the APR unit based on the fact that there is no maintenance involved.

Let me know when you decide to go to APR, I wouldn't mind riding down there with you.![]()
