so for the first time since December 8th I drove my prelude yesterday. The guy who bought it from the craigslist add got in touch with me and apparently am now his service technician. lol In short I get to work on his car as needed.
Its not the same car. A whole bunch of little nit-picky crap has been removed, replaced, or altered and none of it in a good way. In other words I'm extremely happy that I decided not to buy it back and hang onto the Faggin Wagon.
And if anybody really cares (which I doubt yous do...) the Faggin Wagon is definately quicker. From a 40 roll to about 90 I put a car to a car and a half on it (I've recieved the question "Which ones faster??" numerous times from various people and I always wondered myself so I'm glad I finally found out).

If you mean the police aspect, I got pulled over in the car the 1st night I tinted them b/c the dealer didn't put the drive out tag on the car and they didn't say anything about the tails.

It was in Peachtree City of all places.

Why is tinting the tail lights such a bad idea. I think it looks awesome.

I'll put this in the most friendly way that I can. Spraying the taillamps black is now decreasing the visibilty of the lamps therefore making them non-DOT compliant. You said you bought the car to transport your wife and kids around in so why would you want to tamper with a critical safety device and risk your familys well being? Now, like everyone else, I'm sure you will come back and say that you can still see them fine but compare a sprayed taillamp to a stock one and you'll see a difference. American's (being the terrible drivers that they are) don't pay attention while their driving as it is so why would you want to increase your chances of a rear-end collision all for a few "styling" points which IMO, tinted taillights look like crap.

Keep this in mind, whomever decides to rear-end you has legal rights to sue you have now modified them in such a way that the visibility of them has decreased.

Now that you have this perspective, is it worth putting your family at risk worth it?

DOT compliant or not, if the person is going to hit you they are going to hit you. I was sitting at the light at Lower fayetteville and 154 and this girl in a f150 rear ended me in my moms Matrix today, causing me to hit the car in front of me. And my moms car is stock, so if they are going to hit you, you better hope they are going for the gold.
