Too small of a turbo for a FMIC right now, and honestly, the hassels associated with getting/paying for one- its kinda retarded. Fully built motor with big turbo, its needed. But otherwise, its just a "my dick is bigger than yours thing." Quicker spool up and very adequate cooling from a larger top mount is where I'm headed.

Oh you have no idea. I wish we could've really opened it up and did a 4th gear pull. Its unbelievable how intoxicating that feeling of been firmly pressed back into the seat is.

Everytime I go to the track the ECU pulls timing and cuts boost due to "too high IATs" These fucking "smart ECUs" are a pain in the fucking balls...........

eh.... Yes, but they're designed to give better airflow over the intecooler. My intercooler being inefficient would be my second concern at the track, but I've already 1) done a couple things to help it function better and 2) am going to do one or two more things to really help it cool better. My concern is the intake air temp sensor is part of the MAF sensor and with the car sitting there it just heats up and tells the ECU to cut boost and pull timing for "safety reasons," but its doing it too soon/too aggressively. A MBC will fix the boost issue, but I don't want to go that route without a tune. A tune would, overall, really help the situation, but I'm not ready for a tune (a re-tune would be needed shortly after).
Here's something you may find interesting as far as scoops go. I'll be utilizing the STI spec C scoop eventually.

I went playing airsoft for 6 hours straight today, was sweating like crazy and I feel like I'm about to die.
I met the guy Corbin was talking about. His friend bought the STi, all I know is that its been modded heavily. I noticed that it's a front mount intercooler, and I saw 3 big tubes from a peek in the scoop. Haven't had a chance to ask him about it though.
3 tubes: one from the turbo to the front mount. one from the intercooler towards the intake manifold and the 3rd is a 90* elbow going into the intake manifold

I play at Airdog field. It's somewhere close to exit 41 in the southern part of Newnan. And no, I shall not post or take pictures of my car. That thing is a piece of shit. It doesn't deserve to be seen by people.

Yeah Steve I was spinning a shit load in first and second but I have to let you know I didnt even have the boost controller on. But it was fun. I heard everybody in the parking lot stopped what they were doing to watch you and me go at it. I love it dude. Its so damn powerful now. Hope to see everybody again this Friday. And no Joe Im gonna try and stay away from the 5-0 if I can help it.
