Nikon d5000,might be interested in selling it but based on what you posted it would probably be more than what you want to spend.

lol....dunno....what ive been reading says that the canon's are a little slower but take a better quality photo. with kids and sports and whatnot that is definitely a factor for me. think im gonna run by wolf in ptc tomorrow and just look at some stuff. and i need a little 101 in things too so i know what all the abbreviations in the lenses mean and whatnot. was looking between the t3i/t2i and the d5100/d3100

    ....it's just an hhr

I like our d5000 just fine... I think it depends on the operator... but I've never compared my shit skills on a d5000 to my shit skills on something more expensive...

Where is a good place to get an alignment? Steve, does Allspeed do them?

They're more expensive than Best Buy as well.

Well I may not be making the trip this week for an alignment yet. Got a phone call that I have been waiting for and the Accord is getting replaced with an EX trim sedan of the same year. Looks as though that car will give me a reason to keep all my stuff. I'll bring the new one to you if I swap everything over.

I only use All Speed for my alignment needs; partially because I don't have much choice, I need the in-ground, but also because it is a quality alignment. My most recent one went out of whack quick, but that may be a vehicle related issue. We have yet to investigate.

The only lens that's worth a shit in that kit is the 50mm. The 18-55vr is pretty good if you're Michael J Fox and you're trying to shoot pics while on crack. If not, find someone giving away a regular 18-55 for cheap.

So I just did some research and the VR version of that lens is about the same price as the regular one. You don't want to mess with all those wide angle converters or that cheap flash that comes with it. If this is your first SLR cam, get a D3100 and save yourself 100 bucks.

Well i want the flip out screen and the external mic jack for video so i think im gonna go with the 5100 anyway. I just dont know much about this stuff or the lenses. I dont think i will ever get into it enough to warrant super high dollar lenses. The 1.8 was something corbin and others recommended so that is something that is a definite.

I'll use Allspeed for anything really; not just limiting anything to alignments. I never got around to getting an alignment on my Accord after the swap was completed so I needed one. Then I got the phone call that I was hoping for so I need to wait a little longer.

Still haven't decided whether or not I am going to swap everything over to the new shell or not worry with it.

I like the idea of the new FR-S and the BRZ but watching this guys speedometer makes me physically ill. I didnt know speedometers could move that slow.

Hes playing around and he doesnt do a top speed run till closer to the end of the video. I cant believe I even made it that far haha. I know you talked about possibly getting one Steve but please don't

Now that I have the FD, I most likely won't although I'm still on the waiting list at a dealership in TX for the STi version if it's released. Laurabeth and I have enough cars as it is. Speaking of that chassis, this is a pretty good video about the GT86.

It's not built to be a straight line car but rather a fun car. A fun car doesn't need to have a ton of power. I most certainly want to drive one though.

I feel like its just not enough power though. Like I said, the idea of it is cool. A fun light weight sporty car but if you have to floor it just to merge onto the highway? I have a problem with that. I dont think I'll ever get away from raw muscle though.....its just way to much fun

That is a really cool video though

Trust me it is enough power. I have never had more fun in any car I have ever driven then in my Miata. It only has 120hp stock and that was 18 years ago, who knows how much power has been lost over the years. Yeah, I would love to have more power, but even now it is still so much fun to drive.

I understand a car can be fun and not have much power but its gotta have some get up and go. FYI Im pretty sure my FJ is faster than your Miata

Hahaha just messing with you. I do like smaller nimble cars but I enjoy hitting the speed limit really quickly even more

I know for a fact your FJ is faster then the Miata. And I really wish my car was fast in a straight line too. I am still a Mustang guy at heart.
