I may go pending what time earlier events wrap up. As long as we don't have to go near any speed bumps, I'd be down
I'm not going to leave early though man, that's not cool.

If I could talk Autumn into driving that sounds like a plan, but the second I suggest the idea she'll know why and probably say no haha.
Ah, gotcha. I'm not going but what route are you guys going to take? I don't see traveling through Atlanta's traffic to be very exciting. lol.
lol not expecting much traffic at 11pm/midnight
I dont know what route we're taking. Whatever route the ricers take i guess. lol

Why not go up to Blood Mountain for a night run?
Is the wagon back together?

I literally just got the IC pipes back from being welded today. They were tig welded which is what I wanted but they bent me over in terms of the invoice. After scratching my head these past couple nights on how I was going to mount my alternator, I finally gave in and bought a relocation mounting bracket today. That part will be here on Tuesday. Other than that, the car is complete. Just didnt have the time/motivation to work on it.
What is wrong with your dad's headlights?
i can relate. I really don't wanna put my car back together. I have very limited faith in it lasting long (2 machine shops, 5 times going to and from said machine shops, and still subpar cylinder head work might have something to do with this feeling), and really don't plan on driving it much if I can help it. Dad keeps breaking my balls and the Exploder has a massive headgasket leak that I've successfully limped along for 9 months now. Its really bad now and drinks coolant like an athlete drinks [insert favorite sports drink here] so before I can pull that motor to replace said head gasket, I need to clear the garage of all subaru crap, hence the final push to just finish it and deal with the end result. Who knows, maybe it will be bulletproof and survive the abuse I will subject it to- we'll have to see.
I also can't help but feel that its not gonna be quick at all. I ran 12.73@107 on pump in dad's car last weekend and with some minor setup adjustments I believe it could be a 12.60 car MAYBE 12.59. My car on the otherhand, has a poorly sized turbo for the motor, and gearing requiring an extra shift for quarter mile use, I'll be lucky to keep up with dad on pump. With him on E85, I might as well just forget it....
Nothing's really wrong with the headlights besides needing to be cleaned up. Its just that they're angled perfectly for use with fog lights (a little high and the fogs cover the lower sightline) and without they just seem lackluster. Depending on my fmic fitment dad may order another kit this august that will alow him to retain the foglights.
I'm curious to see your results after sergeant does his thing- he's good. I've cleaned up behind 3-4 tuners (not including Mikey) and he's by far the most compentent of them. I do some things differently than him, but that's not saying one is wrong/one is right, its just different. I would trust him to do my car. Doug was probably the worst I've followed behind honestly. I'd hate to see a car shariff tuned....

You already know this I'm sure but give Dover a shot the next time you need head work. We use them at work and have yet to see an issue from them (knock on wood).
Why all of a sudden the change of heart in the turbo your purchased? Are you thinking you need something smaller?
I've been very impressed with Sargeant's tune and his customer service (CS is a big thing these days). He will continue to receive my business.
Doug, well TS as a whole, has an arrogant attitude. Just based on how they represent themselves on the web and the fact that they're always slinging mud at Sharif, I refuse to give TS a dime of my money. Based on my conversation with Siegle, I would trust Sharif. Siegel taught him most of what he knows today and they have the same tuning mindset. Hell, he's made a few trips to Dubai this year alone to tune 1k+whp GT-R's. He's obviously doing something right.
Nobody can deny we are without a doubt the busiest shop in the Metro Atlanta Area, on average we tune 8-10 cars a week and the majority of them are 400+ whp. It has been this way for over 5 years. That being said how many cars have you heard of blowing up on our dyno? We tune double the cars most other shops do and don't have issues popping motors like other shops do. We aren't perfect but we are damn good at building and tuning cars. Sharif is in Dubai right now for a 2 week trip tuning 12 GT-R's that all will make 700+ and three should make 1000+. Sharif's tuning trips to Dubai, the multiple Modified Magazine covers, the track records we have SHATTERED with our time attack GT-R, and more did not happen because Sharif is a bad tuner. It all happened as a result of hard work, a lot of talent and a team effort of a bunch of great guys.
...and you are welcome to attended any CHIN Motorsports, Flat Out Motorsports, NASA or any other event at Road Atlanta and see plenty of cars Sharif has tuned. You are also welcome to bring the cars you have tuned out to participate in some HPDE events along with us. It is hard on the car though, long, hot days of hard driving so the tune better be on point
I've used Dover in the past and had to remove and replace 2 cylinder heads I received from them. Within 30 minutes of starting the vehicle the freeze plugs were leaking. Finally, when dad went to get the third head, they brought him in the back to actually observe them pressure testing his "next" cylinder head. Suprise suprise, the test failed and that one would've leaked too. They finally got him one thats been trouble free for 5/6 yrs now. (it was for a 1990 ford bronco)
The turbo was originally purchased with the intention of me doing the hybrid setup. Since I'm sticking with the 2 liter, I'm skeptical its gonna spool with any sort of haste. Ball bearing or not, its a 20g with 8cm^2 hotside and its scheduled to hit full boost at 4400+.... We'll have to see.
It was slow.... I say that now, but once the clutch is replaced.... *runs and hides* lol
