Took a nap, watched the Invention of Lying, and now it's time to go back to the garage.
Redid the alarm system. Why do people insist on using closed end connectors when wiring things?
I do not want to see a million http://order.waytekwire.com/IMAGES/M...ms/37024TH.GIF when I'm under the dashboard.
Wound up cutting them all off, crimping on non-insulated solder-filled butt connectors, and wrapping it in heatshrink. Break-proof and weather-proof!
Dude who installed the alarm mounted the control box in a pretty easy to find spot, so that was moved into a place you can't access without removing half the dash.
Fixed a couple of cut wires on the neutral safety switch, and found out that the bracket that holds the shift cable in place is missing, which explains why I can't shift gears.
Got a few wires I need more info on, and then I can finish bolting sensors to the engine.
I am still here at work. Been here since Sunday night and not expected to leave before Friday morning. Guess it's the perks of being in the public service dept.
officially official, feb 10 verizon gets the iphone
I doubt it's going to be expensive along with the rest of their plans although they do have good coverage.
This is what I use to splice wires on my car. Raychem Weather Proof Splices. You crimp it then theres a heat shrink sleeve that shrinks down over the splice. They really make a good, water proof connection. But you gotta use the correct crimp tool with them.
