I bought 1qt of quicksilver 2 stroke oil at advance for around $12
I bought 1 gallon of quicksilver 2 stroke oil at walmart for $19.96
Wont be able to make it to smyrna today due to a short turn around and having to be at work by 2. However tomorrow I am off and will shoot up there.
Ok. That's cool.
I'll be sure to leave work a few min early tomorrow then. hahaha
went by walmart, mobil 1= $21 for 5 qts.
Last time I got some it was like $23.50 for 5+ quarts. Not bad.
Some say that M1 isn't good for these EJ motors and oftentimes cause bearing failure. I'm skeptical but haven't had time to look into it yet. Maybe later today. Scouring forums in my spare time for valuable info used to be one of my top 5 favorite things to do. Then I got tired of reading through 15yr old "know-it-all's" crap.....
Last I checked, the WalMart near me sold Royal Purple for something like $7 a quart. Been using it ever since.
hmm.... This says one thing

odd.....
royal purple ftw
Royal Purple smells yummy too............................................... .................................................. ...........:ninja:
RP has too many additives. I've always used M1 and I've heard Rotella is supposed to be pretty good. If it was easily available, I'd run Amsoil.
Redline was all that I ever used in the Focus but those oil changes got pricey so I stopped using them. When I was reading up on it, RP was just as good and cheaper so that's all I use now. M1 Clean 5000 is what I use if I need my oil change and I don't have much money.
Steve, lemme know man, I'm a preferred customer which means I buy directly from Amsoil. Five quarts, an amsoil filter, tax, and shipping came to $59. You (or anybody else) let me know and I'll get it for you guys.
Kept digging around and had the good fortune to find this: http://www.animegame.com/cars/Oil%20Tests.pdf
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY ONE SINGLE TEST SHOWING RESULTS FOR ONLY A FEW DIFFERENT FACTORS. WHAT IT DOES NOT SHOW IS THE RESULTS FOR IS HOW SUSCEPTIBLE THE OIL IS TO BREAK DOWN CHEMICALLY AMONG OTHER THINGS.
Take note that the Penzoil and Valvoline synthetic BLENDS did better than the fully synthetic Mobile 1 and Redline!!!!! The Royal Purple (in this test atleast) pretty much owned all.
On a more personal level for me, more digging around yielded these UOA results which indicate that M1 is perfectly acceptable in EJ motors.

Uh wrong.....
Both links had UOA (used oil analysis) of Mobile 1 synthetic from EJ20/EJ25 motors. One said everything was good the other analysis stated that there were high levels of copper in the oil indicating that the owner should keep close tabs on whats going on.
This is as good as it gets for factual data. There are variables still, but its alot better than "Well this one looks cleaner after 5k miles than the other one did after 3.5k miles. Wouldya think Bob?" lol
steve that oil test you posted has a backstory to it where they tested with that machine wrong. Its been so long since i read that article though.
I know when we put EDGE in the sedan, it ate about a quart of it before 3000 miles, while mobil 1 has never given us a problem.

i change every 4k miles and i use rotella 10w40. 19 per 5qt with a honda oil filter for 8.
having 277k miles it's better to have a thicker oil.
lubro moly or amsoil
failure on my part I guess I didn't follow the links, but I thoght I did...
I guess I gave a predisposed answer
doesnt rpm range and how they are diven affect how the moves and is used in an engine?
I didn't read it in those test but driving style to me seems important
the oil viscosity due to heat due to hard or soft driving
My name is David Teng and I suck cock, but no one minds fucking me because my cock looks like....

cause I'm a true fob Asian.
And btw, I have a fetish for male midgets.
Thank you, I want my gayness to show!!!!!!
It really is disappointing having such a small weiner. I can only rub the head a bit since I have no shaft.
I am contemplating on doing something illegal so I can go to jail and rammed by a big black guy called "Bubba". Just the feeling of his throbbing member sliding in my bumhole just makes me drool.
Be back, gotta kill someone.
I'm really suspicious now that Bobby has access to your account. Chances are, your computer is in your room, which means Bobby is in your room, which means you guys do something together in your room, and two asian guys doing something together in one room is kinda odd, so you guys must be up to something no good. *while stroking his asian stache* :ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::police::police:
no they don't but if we put a mask over your face it would. :P
fuck
wow, i upgraded from a small 19" polaroid tv to a 42" LG, and i have to say, i think i went too big.
Hey Steve, I wasn't able to make it out today due to lack of a car and I gotta work tomorrow. Thursday morning is when I will be shooting out there definitely. What is a second model option if they don't have the one you want in stock?
