BTW Rusty, you are no longer allowed to form meets. Bail out of your own meet = ghey. Otherwise it was a huge sucess, me and redrum were the only ones who showed.

Well I got in around 2:30 this morning due to my buddies GTI breaking. The 2 guys I was with got 3 runs in each. We got there around 6:15, were through tech around 7:00, made the first pass around 7:30. The GTI I was with had a best of a 15.6 with a 2.6 60'. The Mustang that came down ran a 14.999 with a 2.5 60'. I hoping to have the Honda ready for the next trip down.

Yeah, we discussed that next time we are gonna be there around 5:45 so when the gate opens we can roll right in and right through tech. I was talking to a guy who got 2 runs in between 6:30 and 7 while everyone else was going through tech.

Hate to change the subject of Mustang bashing but...

I need some Miata help/parts including wheels, hard top and a front passenger fender (pref. red.) and tons of other junk. Trying to help fix up one of these go-carts. :)

I have cordless impacts, portable flood lights and a 525 gallon fuel tank here. With a few of the right people I think we could disassemble his entire car and have it in the bed of my pick up in less than an hour. :)

I have found a few parts that I need but still looking for more plus some mods and a turbo kit. I have seen several surfing but man they all say different crap for the lil 1.6's.

I still have some Miata parts hanging around. A low mileage 1.6 engine (less intake manifold), stock shocks and springs, a bunch of other interior bits.

I'm pretty sure I have a pair of sunvisors.

PM metalman on here and just tell him what parts you're looking for. He's got a basement/garage full of nothing but Miata parts. I used to get a lot of stuff from him, very honest guy. Not a very far drive from Athens either.

if the funds are there for that why not swap the 1.8 in it and build that?? you can even stroke that out to a 2.0. for a small fee of 4g's(not tryin to deter him from buyin your motor tommy just saying if theres that kind of money available he can get a bigger one for not much more prob.)

I am trying to find a way to carb the 1.6's and if get this one it will not be going in a car. One of them will be going on a utility cart 4x4 that we are planning as we speak. Kinda like a Kawasaki Mule or something in that nature but with 36 inch tires.

The 1.8 for the Miata is definitely what we are planning now that I have read up on a few things. I am thinking a 1.8 with all forged internals and a Greddy kit should get us were we need to be. However I have a nice 400 hp engine sitting here that I can swap in for under 2k and with the kits it will be well over 600 rwhp when needed. :)

make your own intake manifold. it wouldnt be that hard if your going carb'd cuz then you dont have to worry bout the fuel injectors. also check other mazdas/fords and possibly for trucks that may have been carb'd.

well first of all if you try shifting from 2nd to 3rd too fast then youll grind 3rd and miss it because the transmission doesnt like to be shifted fast. and also the shifter is kinda tight from factory so go over just a little too far and it will slip right into 5th.

Gay! Just excuses. I shift from 2nd to fifth all the time when racing my jdm lawn mower and It never boggs down it just goes faster. The point is learn how to shift your car, and ps if you are running 18's on the dragstrip something is wrong and you should never take your car there again.:rolleyes:
