Not so much cheating the system, but allowing street cars to run. The problem we've had at Road Atlanta, and by we I mean NASA, is that there isn't a noise station like at Roebling Road.

Although, I think SCCA has enough man-power that they have an actual sound guy somewhere in the infield.

The noise restriction is imposed by Hall County ordnance, and one or more Hall County police officers might be in the paddock to make sure the noise restrictions are enforced.

Most likely its just the corner workers who will be judging the sound. They alternate which station it's at so you can't "let off" when you pass by it, which they caught on to. "Hey everyone is getting caught at 7 so make sure not be loud comming out of 7...." So they move it around. I seriously doubt any officer will enforce anything at all. Never seen that in years, nor do I think they care. Road Atlanta just gets a fine if they are caught randomly, so they do a good job of making sure our asses arn't to loud.

All SCCA events at RA DO have sound control monitoring. I am not sure if they monitor during the PDX as running then requires 'street' exhaust to begin with.
