You actually don't, because you're passed out at the time. You can tell if other people have alcohol poisioning by thier vital signs. If someone's breathing is shallow, and thier pulse is thready and slow, like 60 BPM or so, I'd take them to the hospital ASAP. Also being passed out and still vommiting is a pretty good sign.
