Hello IA Family,

I’d like to take this time to thank you and all that made Saturday possible like

Susan, Kenny, Aaron, Wes, Paul, Raul, Ron, Randy Octavious, Sean, Frosty, Cuba, Arturo, Fernando, Tuyet, Andy, Vanessa, AZ Chris, 240 George, Albert and my UAB Fam, Latino Trader, Nicole at Buford Sprint, ODS Magazine, Kevin and AAP Motor sports, Geoff and Scinergy GA, my homies SpeedyLow, TC Street Performance, Elite, Wheeler Mgmt, Gabe and Spray Glow, Oz, Terry and his gang, Mike and Velocity, Aaron Thompson of Import Tuner, Paul of IA, Nopi, Yellow River, and any and every one that came or supported our show.

If you came and/or participated then you came out to support a bunch of local guys trying to start something positive for the community, with next to nothing budget and alot of volunteered help, so I thank you. I thank our judges whose decisions I trust and support. For those that may not be happy with the trophy results we apologize for your dissatisfaction and wish you success at your future competitions. Despite the weather and some minor issues, I believe folks had a good time. I enjoyed meeting everyone and consider them my friends. I congratulate the winners and look forward to next year’s show.

Well, I just got done reading all the rantin on this thread, so I am gonna say what I have to say. If I offend anyone, I apologize, but at the same time I dont care.

The reason car shows are dying is because ppl cry about not winning. Who cares?!!! The judges voted and that is that. OMG, you didnt get another trophy!!! I show my car all the time. I get beat sometimes by cars with less work and time, and sometimes by cars that are still considered under construction, but the differnce is I suck it up and tell that person congrats and I am happy for them. I have enough trophies I like seeing fellow xB owners and friends and ppl that are doing the same thing I am doing, which is creating an awesome car to show, to win trophies. There is no need for bashing or all the drama. ABKS put on their first car show and from what I seen and heard is that it was a great show expect for jack ass that didnt win trophies and feel that the cars that won shouldnt have. All shows are based on opinion. I havent shown my car once this season, just because I still havent got up the nerve to deal with ppl's bullshit and whinning. This wasnt the last show of the year, or for the rest of your lives. Their will be more shows and more trophies. And last but not least. NO ONE HAS THE BEST CAR!!!!! get over it, and have a nice day.

You dont know me, and I dont know you. I have the white civic w/ the graphics ....I dont hang out on IA, I read to find shows and then leave, I build and show cars every weekend. I dont have time for drama. You dont get a radical class car hiding behind a computer in your free time.
As far as car shows, here's my take after 10 years of 40-50 shows a year:
Judging w/o any experience, or anyone to answer to is why shows are dying. There always has been winning, losing and complaints, since day one. People go to JUDGED shows to get a non-biased judgment...which is getting harder to find everyone will agree with, and when money is involved, it more important they are available to say why/why nots afterward. By looking at few who goes to monthly, free cruise ins, and alot who goes to judged shows you pay to enter you can tell people want to compete to see who is on top. Brett even says he "stepped it up" this year by his own words, and he did a great job IMO. I did for 6 months last year. Why? To push me, and to try to stay on top of my game, and see if I could reach some goals that did involve winning. The only reason anything was said at all, was this is where I read about the show, and I saw they come here.
If anyone else has anything to say about me, my car, this last weekend, keep it off here, and look for me at the next show. I'll talk to anyone, won't I Brett?!!

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate the kind words brotha. Come the end of this season though I am taking it to a whole new level, thats all I will say about that but your car has inspired me to take it much bigger next year.

And dont listen to Jeff, he wont say shit in person!! Nah I'm playin.. Jeff is quiet usaully but has no issues telling you something even if it isnt what you dont wanna hear. Jeff you know I have no beef with you, we have been friends for 5+ years and whave shwon side by side many many times and BS'd at many of them, Hell I remember the days where you would throw a football at your car (Granted this is when it was silver..lol) and you would say "Aww fuck this car, I dont care" lol.

LOL Brett, YUP!!! I remember Jeff trying to snap pennies in his hand through both open side windows while sittin in a lawn chair at Dave and Busters Gwin...before it was D&B. He never did make it, but to see people cringe each time one glanced off the car was priceless! He loves the competition, he likes the car. Please keep building Brett, with Tim selling his car, Yamil saying he is puttin his engine in a h/b and driving it, JG needs some motivation. If you only could see the list of what is to be next?!
