Want to blame someone for the way hip hop has gone, blame the consumers and the media but not the rappers. If Jay-Z or Jeezy decided they wanted to change up and rap like Common do you really think they would sell records like they do? No, and the next person who wants to rap about bs behind a good beat will step up.
Oh I very much agree but still, Hip hop is not the same. either by the consumer or by the artist. Hip hop used to be hi hop and then someone started rapping about cars and money and hoes then everyone else did it to.

No matter I like new music and will listen to Jeezy, Yin yang twins, and the rest of the south, but Nas has just realesed a record lets see how his record sales go. I still feel that a real artist will make music about shit that means something and they will still sale records, if you do it to make money then whatever your just making money, if you do it becuase you are an artist then you will write what your soul tells you to write.
