cheap lcd but its not gonne be a good one.
I got a 32" LCD in my room, for around 800. It's a Polaroid, so it's not the best, but it's fine for a dorm room. The picture quality is very nice, but if you can spend 1,300, definately get something better.
I've got a Hyundai 32" HD-Ready LCD tv for sale.

Hyundai???? whaaa??
haha yeah believe it or not hyundai makes ALOT of lcd's. tv's and computer monitors as well.
btw check your pm's and lemme know what u thinka bout that 32"
Come see me at HHGregg in Kennesaw, I'll take care of you
lol great news..... we can't wall mount the TV at the appartment... they wont allow it. BUT.... i just spoke to my girlfriend and she said she wants a bigger TV since were gonna put it on an entertainment center. so now im looking at 42in and bigger lol hell yeah
so im assuming projection. you watch alot of sports?
if its an entertainment center what are the dimension restrictions u have.
and are you still wanting to stay within that price range?
She wants to stick to LCD/Plasma.... she's talking about 47in and bigger. Now the budget is at $2500 lol not really an entertainment center.... just something to put the TV on and have the DVD player and all the equipment on the bottom.... Shit i dunno.... were just gonna have to go out and Buy a TV and go from there. i hate looking at them online. I need to talk to someone in person and see the TVs myself.
2500 is plenty for a 50" plasma from a reputable company. lcd will more than likely have to be a 46" if u go lcd.
i've been happy with my 42" plasma from AKAI. (Model: pdp4273m) Picked it up at Fry's Electronics for $999. HDMI hookup, 2 component, 2 rca, sound out, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 1024X1024 resolution.
this is an HD monitor, which means you'll need a cable box to use it.
its not as big as you may want, but for others who are looking for a "budget" HiDef plasma... this is the best bang for the buck.
oh yeah... akai is manufactured by hitachi... just gets a different sticker at the end of the assembly line.
yeah be careful about contrast ratio's dyanic contrast ratio's dont mean much. what u wanan look for is truelife contrast.
ended up getting a 37in Phillips Ambialight?? not sure if thats how its spelled..... LCD.
We just spent ALOT of money on new furniture and stuff.... i'll post up picts of the setup on wednesday.
