This is exactly what I was thinking. His music is cool but, it's not like he has anything ground breaking. His lyrics are mad simple and his songs are alright. At least Luda brings more creativity to the table with his style, personality, and even his sense of humor. If they were to battle, Luda would crush T.I. in 8 bars.

Ludacris compared to T.I??? are you serious??

sure luda hasnt put anything out recently but are you really going to site here and compare the 2? Luda #1 has been out longer....#2 had dropped more "hits"
"welcome to atlanta"....."roll out"......"this bitch that hoe ft 3-6 mafia".....and when he was freash into the game he was spitting hot fire...sure his albums lost playback but i think T.I only on his second album and luda has 4 under his belt???

Ludacris is wayyyyy more lyrically than T.i, T.i i isnt even a battle rapper he just hummmss and talks shit over the mic...wtf...

    T.I = THE LOSS

Ti tlaks to much shit, and he really doesnt have the money compared to the poepl he spits off too. I used to not like him, but i admit hes got skill. but he just gets into it with people over stupid shit. The whoel Ti v FLip shit was pointless and a perfect example of how TI just runs off at the mouth over absolutely NOTHING. And even with him and ludacris... it was over NOTHING and pointless. Ludacris doestn rap abou the same stuff as TI. Ludacris is radio, but TI is just as Radio as luda is now.

Julio why u have such a big thing agains trappers who are succesful just because they are making money and get popular and get radio play isnt a bad thing. Isnt fat joe a favorite of yours? he went super commercial last year what happened with his commercial success.. what did jay Z say "the pressures on dont CRACK"...lol

yeah Mark, you might get chumped out now, T.I on his second album?
T.I has been out for a long time, just not on the radio, T.I came out with a air force 1's song before Nelly, TI has been on countless mixtapes and Cd's before Im Serious dropped.

If you gon compare 2 rappers, dont just do research on one

Luda an T.I supposively had beef before the song....you should know that...

    is it fact time again??????????????

Buck says he asked 50 Cent to reach out to T.I. for a collaboration for Straight Outta Cashville. 50 obliged, and the track was sent to Atlanta for T.I. to rhyme on. Buck said he was surprised when the song came back with the line "And me getting beat down, that's ludicrous," because he didn't know if was a dis or not.

"I was hearing on the streets that [T.I.] and Luda be having problems with each other, and I know I just did a song with Luda's group about a week or two before," Buck elaborated. "Me and Luda are cool. To be all the way honest, I'd known Luda before I knew T.I., so I couldn't just jump on this record and have them having differences with each other, and then [have Luda] be like, 'Yo, Buck, what's up?' "

Staying diplomatic, Buck talked the situation over with Cris and even played T.I.'s verse for him. Ludacris confirmed that the two had been going back and forth, and he wanted to get on the song and speak his piece.

"I even got at T.I. like, 'Yo, Luda heard this record. He wanna jump on the record,' " Buck explained, "just to make sure all the feelings and everything would stay the same way. And he was like, 'Oh, I'm cool. I'm cool with it.' "

So Ludacris laced "Stomp" with his own battle raps, and the streets have been talking ever since.

T.I. and Cris have apparently now squashed their beef, Buck said, but controversy still surrounds the song. According to Buck, T.I.'s camp requested that Ludacris change his verse before they clear Tip to be on the album. (A T.I. spokesperson had no comment on that.) The G-Unit soldier said Cris has refused.

Honestly I like both of them, but I do think Luda is better than T.I (not by a long shot). He been in the game longer than T.I. (mix cds do not mean you are in the game, you are trying to get into the game). Luda did roast T.I. on Stomp, but I still believe that was a sucker punch by him. It's kinda hard to compare one line to one verse. My opinion is if any should be considered as King of the South it shouldn't be T.I. since there been alot of rappers holding it down before him. I see him as the Prince of the South since he is still one of the "newer" rappers from the south in the game.

Does this "Street Cred" that some of you speak of, make you a better MC? It doesn't matter if you're from Beverly Hills or Ben Hill. Skills are skills!

I dont have nothing against them.. COMMERCIAL HIP HOP is wack and is what I dont like.. Is not where the real roots of real RAP came from.
is a personal prefrence.. I do not like commercial hip hop.

Fat JOE sucked once he went commercial..unfortunatly, thats where the REAL money is. FAT JOE's REPRESENT ALBUM ownz alot of albums put out today.. but that 13 years ago.

Example : MOBB DEEP... HUGE back then, bitches went commercial and lost alot of street credit.. especially..since signging with GUNOT.
I guess im just getting old and realize RAP is going down hill..

Thats why NAS is on top of my list becuase he has never been commercial, But people still know who he is without all the B.S.
And always puts out sick albums.

i was born and lived in Southwest houston until 94... Me and my brothers used to play basketball at the park allll the time.

julio NAS is commercial, once u get on a record label you are commercial. Once u make a cd and have lil jon produce 3 congs your commercial. once u become a househol dname you are commercial. Mobb deep has been commecial every since they did quiet storm. Some rappers change, but just because rappers sign with a certain group or get more radio play shouldnt mean that there bad. It happens rappers blow up[ and go commercial.. look at UGK, couple of years ago they owuld never get any bet/mtv play now there everywhere. have u listend to mobb deeps new cd?

Some song I heard recently with Luda was clearly jumping at Young Jeezy! Also, Luda is lyrically skilled, but T.I has the whole package (to me). T.I has more albums + mixtapes than Luda and in Atlanta mostly, everyone chants T.i over anyone (my experiences). For a fact though, Dedication 2 show's who's the best in the south right now. eww, that mixtape is crazy.

julio NAS is commercial, once u get on a record label you are commercial. Once u make a cd and have lil jon produce 3 congs your commercial. once u become a househol dname you are commercial. Mobb deep has been commecial every since they did quiet storm. Some rappers change, but just because rappers sign with a certain group or get more radio play shouldnt mean that there bad. It happens rappers blow up[ and go commercial.. look at UGK, couple of years ago they owuld never get any bet/mtv play now there everywhere. have u listend to mobb deeps new cd?

    agreed.

There is a reason why most underground rappers and labels stay underground, they can't sell records or there rap is unmarketable.

    case being:

Three six mafia stayed underground for a little bit because there music was unmarketbale, most of the time there talking about fucking bitches, snortin coke, and shootin people, Its hard to sell when ALL your cd's are like that...
so eventually 3-6 waterd there shit down and became "commercial" i mean the music is still tite, but it just doesnt sound the same.

with that said....theres no problem with commercial rap just as long as its good, G-unit is the only group that puts out hits and albums CONSISTENTLY and thats a good thing. It keeps your fans happy and at the same time there getting rich....why wouldnt you want to make a little bit of change?? beats me..

Oh well i like T.I. ever since hes been out. First time i met him was at a barbershop my cousin used to work at. I didnt even know who he was, the nigga was drivin a blue kitted 2 door blazer on some 20s. Thats when i figured out who T.I. was. This was when i was 16, im 20 now, so T.I. is far from new to the game. Luda, i liked luda until recently, like someone else said his albums are getting worse and worse, i cant even play his latest shit all the way through, plain and simple the shit sucks. Luda can rip, and yea i think he would probably do T.I. in a battle, but i still think T.I. would hold is own. But when it comes to overall artist T.I. gets the win, hands down. His lyrics have more meaning, hes actually talking bout shit. Ludas new shit is goofy, half the time i dont know wtf he talking bout........The shit literally sounds like im listenin to a cartoon or somin, the nigga is goofy, just rappin to be rappin.....commercial. At best hes a battle rapper. Pretty much the same thing thats happening to Em. I liked his shit, but his new shit is just goofy and cartoonish, hopefully he'll go back to the real shit-lol. T.I. also has more street cred which is also a big part. Luda.........has none. And all of yall that think he aint got money, you wrong. From trappin, to his OWN label, to his movie dude got money.

    battle rapper

    Luda> T.I.

    Artist/actual lyricist

    T.I.> Luda

but to add to that, I believe Luda is residing on pure hype and OG status right now. TI i believe is the king of the South.

    And to that person who said makin mixtapes isn't part of the game , i got news for you;

If you trap and make ends meet, your in the game. If you trap and make Ks on a tip, then you still in the game. Mixtapes is part of the game man.

    T.I. > Luda.

    And tot he commercial comment

Goin commercial is more of a state of lyrics or mind to me. I mean, if you sign to make money and then produce some shit dats hard on the streets and still makin chedda, then u ain't commercial, but if you sign and make money and sit on yo ass and produce some lame shit like Roll out! (dat shit was lame, too repetitive and died real fast) den u commercial.

I'm not hatin on commercial rappers but listen to this talk right here: When you sign and do nothin, you thinkin bout urself. DATS commercial. When you sign and and produce dat fire, u thinkin bout ur fans. DATS street.

Street cred is more carin bout where u came up, and what hood gave you the reps (as IA would call it) that let you catch dah mainstream.

and BTW Ludas Word of Mouf was pure fuckin GARBAGE! PURE COMMERCIAL BULLSHIT, i mean I'd go to the store just to break that damn cd. Ludas Back for the First time is the hardest shit to date. I can't even rate TI's shit cuz man all his shit is hard. so in the end:

The guy 2-3 posts above me was right, but I personally believe TI is better than luda NOW.

AND to end dis.... we're arguing over something thats subjective. You can't get mad at someone because they like a certain style or flavor about a specific rapper. Thats just their opinion. Don't get mad when a large amount of people voice their opinion and they coincide and your opinion goes against theres. Thats just the way it is.

OK but ludacris aint no gangsta... so why should he act like he is. Ludacris is a star, Ti is just gettin ihs feet wet, hes just getting where luda was a year and a half ago. All music aitn street music. Thats a probelm eveyrone doesnt make street music. Man whe u sign, and the label tells u what they want u to do, u have 2 choices... meet that quota or get dropped and be broke. im sorry when u on MYv/bet entertainment tonite/ E? blah blah your commercial. because you are no longer gonna be out in the streets anymore doign what you talk about your gonna be a puppet for that label until theymake that money off of you. I dont have a problem with commercial.. because itas all about making money. But i think we all have a problem with our favorite artists changing up their styles to sell. I like to see artist go from underground to mainstream... like Mike jones..

But who are we to say who/how someone is just from listening to their rap?

There's plenty of "gangsta" artists who don't rap "gangsta shi**" just because they don't giv a fu** about doing it. Luda is out to make money and get world wide publicity obviously. Hah.....truely, I find luda original and better just because he didn't take the obvious approach to ATL rapping like ALOT are doing. T.i. by all means is hot, DO NOT get that wrong haha.

    But like someone said

    ________________
    lyrically:
    Luda > T.i

    Artist:
    T.i. > Luda
    ________________

If luda was tied up in the streets like T.i and felt like rapping about on 90% of his album, he'll be on top of Atlanta. Most people in Atlanta don't give as much respect to Luda because they're so used to this "I gotta act hard" lifestyle that listening to someone like Luda would classify them as weak. T.i keeps it hood, keeps it street, or gangsta (however you want to call it) and that's why most of Atlanta digs him and his lyrics.

Damn.......be right back. Kids putting M-80's in the mailbox!

^^ all fuckin day! Outkast/Dungeon Fam clearly kicked off the Atl. I still rather listen to P. Troy than alot of others out right now, and I mean ALOT. Heard his new album? Actin up? Yea, I love that song haha.

No one could fuck with Big boi back in the day here in the south and yea I'm hoping he comes to his senses and starts back up with his old style and not let Andre influence all his shit. He rapped so different and so lyrical back then it was stupid.
