Wolverine was a bit too sensitive to me, Storm was much better in this one than the other movies, pretty good movie all around.

Ironchef, what happens after the credits gives you a TOTALLY different perspective.. if you liked the movie and really into the series you definitely should see it. Go sneak in at the end of one and watch.

i thought it was horrible to be completely honest, thoroughly disappointed. seemed like they tried to fit a 3 hr story line into an hr and a half movie......not to mention i'm never a big fan of a comic book movie straying from events that have actually taken place in that comic's history.

I think I'm a decent X-Men fan, and to be honest, there's no way the movies can follow the X-Men story line. I completely understand that they can't really DO most of the real story lines and character backgrounds because they're way too complicated, long, and they overlap with too many other non-X-Men things. I mean, take Wolverine for example. He's got 11ty billion background stories. Canadian Army, American Army, Austrailian, Samurai, CIA, Advenger, etc., etc., etc....
Don't get me wrong, the whole disregard of Juggernaut and Charles Xavier kind of bugged me - I mean, come on, their brothers, and Juggernaut wears that huge helmet so he can't controll his mind... and in the one scene, Charles walks right past Juggernaut, who's standing there WITHOUT a helmet and never even acknowledges each other.
You really can't get nit picky on things like this. The whole X-Men/-Force/-Factor/etc., etc., X-Series is just TOO huge to follow through - and if they REALLY wanted to follow story line... how the heck would they ever pull off the Onslaught story??? They'd have to pull EVERY Marvel (Hulk, Spiderman, all the X-Men, you name it) character in the movie and kill them all off.
Anyways, my own personal opinion, I thought it was well done. The action scenes were definitely PG-13, unfortunately, but I thought it was a good, entertaining flick. But then again, I had an AWESOME audiance, and I went in with VERY low expectations. And the whole Jean and Logan scene.... hawt.
I stayed after the credits thanks to this post.

Exactly what I was wondering in that scene, I was never into comic books but I knew they were supposed to be brothers so that confused me a bit.
Is it safe to say that.. if you dropped the story line with Angel, Kitty Pryde & Iceman, and replace it with Gambit that this movie would have been MUCH better?
i saw it last nite, thought it was pretty good. and you DEFINITELY have to stay after the credits. i did thanks to this thread, and everybody i went with thanked me for the heads up (which was an entire row lol). a big +1 for tony!!!

You know, Arch Angel would have been awesome if they actually HAD him in the movie. His story is a good one and the computer effects that went into his wings were grade A amazing! And the whole Iceman/Kitty Pryde/Rogue story was SOOOOO damn pointless. I'm happy about her outcome however - I really never liked how they protrayed her character or the actress that played her.

so essentially most of us agree they fucked up this movie by using a shitty storyline involving some of the lesser known characters (that weren't even fully utilized). like i said, i'm extremely disappointed, i don't think a movie of this (supposed) caliber had any business being under 2 hrs long.
Ok someone please just tell me what happens at the end of the credits i saw it last night and didnt stay through the whole credits, and i dont feel like goin back up there so can someone please just tell me what happens. Also, ya i wasnt very happy with the movie could have been a lot better. But with the end where magneto moves the chess piece that at least gives a chance for another movie.

rumor has it that there are four different endings after the credits
1. The professor X ending, where a patient on the table calls out to Dr. Moira.
2. The Grave of Jean Grey shaking, and then a shot of it completely empty.
3. Mystique hands a case to Magneto, you don't get to see it's contents.
4. The red ray of cyclops explodes out of Alkali Lake before a rapid fade to black.
to a person like me who hasn't really followed the comics and watched the cartoons on Fox and all.. the movie seemed good to me, it was a little skittish.. but it was still worth the money to see it.. regardless..

it was HORRIBLE.
story line SUCKED, cheesy 1 liners reuined the movie. There was no GREAT fight, no VILLAIN, no climactic end sequence. they killed off everyone so if they have a number 4 they have to do some cheesy shit of bringing them all back to life.
They tried to do too much with this film. it was called the "last stand" yet there was no great final battle. it was gay. the first 2 had much more suspense an much better finales.
If they do a number 4, they better get someone better than Ratner to do it, cause he SUCKS.
Rumor is, #4 sees Prof. X coming back to life, Magneto goes through a change that brings about his youth. Gambit is slated to be in it. Wolverine an jean Grey have signed on for #4 possibly 5,6.

So what we got was a PUSSY cyclops, SEnsitive Wolverine, BItch Jean Gray, Dead prof X, normal Mystique, an complete lack of a storyline.
im not asking them to bring all the comic book elements into the movie, but at least make it ENTERTAINING.
im with Absoludely, they needed to ditch the love triagle, an focus on BUILDING THE CHARACTERS backrounds, or make them more in depth. Collusus was cool, for the whopping 5 min he was in it.

if you are going to kill off the characters that we have been following the last 2 movies, replace them with characters you plan to DEVELOP.
