    SO what are you guys' opinion on this movie (not out yet), but what do you expect from it?

    I hope its as good if not better than the origional...I would also love for it to follow the book, but it will probably not. Kinda weird that it comes out on a day that is once every hundred years. 06-06-06....ya.

    I would like to, but my wrecks have happened on supersticious days so I am deciding to stay in that day and enjoy a nice evening at home...plus I never go see a movie the opening day. Always the day after or a week later.

    Ohh and I cannot go out that night I have a ritual to perform...you know a little animal with its head cut off, men/women running around with their eyes rolled back, robes, fire, shit like that lol

    *disclaimer* just joking on the paragraph "ohh...shit like that"

    I mean don't get me wrong though, but the original one was pretty freaky for an OOLD movie ya know. I wish they would do new movies of Rosemary's Baby and Son of Rosemary...those I would not mind seeing in today's setting instead of back in the 70-80s whenever they were made.

    watched it today. it was ok. that little kid really pissed me off though, if i saw him somewhere i would beat the fuck out of him.

    Thats what i was thinking. Other then the dogs and when the nanny jumped out when he was cutting the kids hair all the other "jump" parts were shown in the previews...

    no.... i watched it.... it was just not a good movie... the end....
    i do watch movies bud.... just cause i'm a christian doesn't mean i'm narrow minded.. and yes i've watched movies other than "The Passion of the Christ".......

    it wasn't scary.... the ending was awful... and besides screamin two or three times... the kid had like 2 lines... sorry but the "son of satan" should do a little more than give mean looks in a movie...

    The movie was ok. But it still cannot match the original though. I hate the kid they used in this movie, they made him too "evil-cliche" look. I guess they tried to make it more a "jumpy-scary" movie than just a good, suspence flick. (The dream sequences were stupid, and harm the flow of the story)

    In the original the kid does not know his powers or understand who he is until late in the next film (sequel). They also made the ending in this new one less "shocking" than in the original. The original kid was really the perfect "deceiver", by not only being powerful and evil, but also by being just a sweet kid that any parent would love.

    Other than that, it kept all the elements of the original one. A worthy effort, but i still love the originial better.

    yeah "jump" parts in general are cheap. it could have been mickey mouse that jumped out and screamed out of nowhere, as long as it was unexpected it would still make people jump.
