Default Post your favorite epic/period film???

My favorite series would definately have to be Lord of the Rings, i don't think many things could top such an amazing set of films. But one movie that i really like that was kinda shadowed by other films that came out was The Last Samurai w/ Tom Cruise that was an amazing film w/ a great story line.

Brave Heart was kick arse, Beowolf was schweet, some of the Higlander films were good. How about the one were the horses could ride in the sky with fire from their feet and smoke out the back. The one were the guy had the 5 star weapon looking thing. Dark Krystal was kool back in the day.
