As talented as Paul is, to me.... he just doesnt have "it". He's not the stone cold killer that Parker is. He cant put the team on his shoulders and carry them to victory. I know PG purest will loathe this statement, since assist is the "PG stat"... but ultimately, scoring will always carry more weight than passing to someone scores.
I feel like you are living 100% in the present, and completely ignore the obvious talent difference of their teams throughout their entire careers. Paul is NOT just a defender....

    CP3 career PPG Average-------18.6PPG
CP3 career PLAYOFF Average -20.9PPG and 9.5 APG

    TP9 career PPG Average ------17.1PPG
TP9 career PLAYOFF Average -19.2PPG and 5.3 APG

I love tony parker just as much as the next one, but its hard to ignore who he has played with and for VS who paul has played with and for. I mean come on, the 2nd best player on the clippers is Blake griffin. The spurs have 3 people better then him. And don't let me go back to those terrible N.O. teams..... they had a team one year, but against the dynasty spurs it was no contest in the end.

Significance matters........... you might as well be judging someone's preseason stats vs Tony Parker....

Chris Paul has never played basketball on the level that Parker has. Let's wait till Paul even steps on the stage before we start comparing the two. Right now the only thing you can argue is your opinion on what Paul can do on the big stage.... because he's never actually been near it. Tony Parker on the other hand...... he's got his bags packed for the big stage as we speak.

The Heat... like Lebron.... come and go with their physical advantage. This Heat team cant out smart you.... they cant trick you, they dont out coach you...... if they cant jump over you or shove you out of the way, they lose.

    It's that simple....

If they're lucky enough to win game 7 and advance to the finals..... they are going to be playing the smartest, trickiest, best coached team in our lifetime.... led by THE Tony Parker and Mr Fundamental, Tim Duncan.

men lie. women lie. numbers never lie.......... those are PLAYOFF numbers if you didn't notice. He's one of 3 PG's in NBA HISTORY to average 20/10 ast's for their CAREER.

championships define how good your TEAM is, i hate that people are so simple minded they ignore that.

like i said before.... robert horry has more championships then lebron will probably ever have. means nothing....

Had Robert Horry have been the one leading his teams to those championships, then yes... it would have meant something. Tony Parker is the leader of the Spurs.

I guess you'll always be able to argue theoretical scenarios of what Chris Paul could have, would have or should have been.... have fun with that. Reality is that the closest Chris Paul will get to an NBA championship ring is if Tony Parker invites him to lunch.

tony parker is the best player on the spurs, now. not for 3 of those championships.

Dont think it's gonna happen..... Heat are only going to get more tired and more confused as the series goes on. Spurs will tighten up on defense as they always do once they start figuring you out. Nobody in a Heat uniform can guard Tony Parker.

Spurs in 6. Spurs in 5 if they win sunday.

LBJ guarded TP a lot, but so did Chalmers.

Spurs just were sloppy and shot bad. THink TP and manu and timmy were 10-33.

Miami had a stretch in the 3rd quarter where everything just went in and they blew it open. After that, the spurs looked desperate to catch up and that made it worse. The game was closer than the score, it felt like Miami scored 20 points in 10 seconds at the end of the 3rd and that was a wrap.

It appears Miami isnt going to lay down. Spurs will adjust.

Parker specifically, they seemed to be making a huge effort to bang him up. Lot of hard picks from Lebron.

i JUST started working night shift and missed the game. apparently so did the heat.......

i keep telling you...... the spurs are a GREAT TEAM .... it's not mostly parker, he's just the one who starts at the PG spot. they can win without him if they NEEDED to.

Such a great team that none of you had them as a title contender at the beginning of the season.

    Tony Parker says

Je viens de passer l'IRM. Résultat : je souffre d'une légère élongation à l'ischio. On verra demain comment je me sens, j'espère vraiment jouer !!!

    which translates to

I have just passed the MRI. Result: I suffer from a light stretch to the hamstring. One will see tomorrow how I feel, I really hope to play!!!

Thats funny, we picked the finals at my job before the nba season. My paper says Spurs vs. Heat. You never saw me say they were old and washed up, thats people who don't watch basketball. I watched 70+ spurs regular season games this season......

the only thing i've ever said was...... tony parker is not the best PG in the nba, and i still say the same thing....... but he is most definitely elite.

And he still is. just because he doesnt play along side the best player in nba history at his position and the best coach in the game, doesn't diminish how great he is. tony is great too, just not better.

put them in a one on one or give them equal or similar talent and see what happens. look what happened in the olympics. can i say paul is better because of just that? no, because his supporting cast was far better then tony's..... just like tony's is better in the nba

i JUST watched the game, i had to work last night..... there ALWAYS is a huge amount of people who blame the refs when miami wins, it really gets pathetic now.

but all in all, GREAT game. and game 7 will be a MUST see!

THIS is why i love the NBA 1000x more then football. To taste a championship, and feel like the world fell on your head and lose the game. AND get the opportunity to seize the championship again, nothing better then seeing how a team responds. no hail mary, tiped pass, fumble shit...... earn a championship!! 4 wins and youre a champion!

i took the spurs in this series, i have to stick to what i said..... ..... but like i said, win win for me. spurs win i get $, miami wins and my boi wade gets a 3rd ring! good either way, lol
