From ESPN:

"ATLANTA -- The Falcons have signed tight end Tony Gonzalez to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Sunday.

The deal is worth $7 million, according to a league source. Gonzalez's contract was set to expire after the 2011 season.

The 35-year-old Gonzalez is second on the NFL's receptions list with 1,148 catches, trailing only Jerry Rice. He is the first tight end, and 13th player in NFL history, to have over 13,000 yards receiving and holds nearly every NFL mark for the position. He has 95 touchdown catches.

Since being traded from Kansas City to the Falcons in 2008, Gonzalez has scored 19 touchdowns among his 232 receptions.

Now in his 15th season, Gonzalez was chosen to the Pro Bowl for the 12th time this season, and 2011 marks the 13th straight year he's caught at least 60 passes; he has 79, including seven TDs."

Great news for sure. Glad to see him coming back next year. Later, QD.
