Punk I would buy, not hardcore though.
I wouldnt call them punk either, more like a wannabe metal band. Their guitar players blow and write shitty boring generic solos.

No I didnt lol. When I was younger hardcore was used to describe bands like Pantera, Sepultera, and Slayer. Punk was bands like Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, Agent Orange. Nowadays pansies like Good Charlotte, Green Day and Blink 182 have credability as punk. And there is six million sub genres of hardcore.
Band1: We're toughguy (whatever the fuck that is)
Band2: Oh yeah well we're emo (wtf Goth lite?)
Band3: we're sxxy(sp) (last I remember those "X"s on your hand meant you arent old enough to get served alcohol in the club)
Etc. etc. etc.
G.G. Allin would kill half these posers and shit on them when he was finished

I made several errors posting in here. First I didn't take the time to educate myself before speaking on a subject that I wasn't well versed in. Second I ranted instead of taking the time to make a clear argument and failed to elaborate on some things. I am not going to back peddle and resort to flaming to try and save face. I made mistakes and the criticisms that have stemmed from them I have merely taken with a grain of salt.

No I wasnt arguing. Please allow me to clarify what I was trying to say because I did fail at making my point(through my own fault).
I heard the song Bat Country I liked it(Hulud already got me for this one) and went to thier website to see if there was anything else to listen to. The first thing I noticed was the skeleton mascot and I thought about Iron Maiden. I found some songs on the site and listened to them. They sound like old metal, I again thought of Iron Maiden. Then reading the biography, they themselves describe thier guitars sound as Maiden-esque. They also include Iron Maiden in thier influences(they are very heavily influendced by Maiden in my opinion). Which is why I called them a rip off band.
In my poor attempt at satire in my following post, I was trying to say the following.
In my opinion music quality has declined. When I was alot younger it seemed as if there was a ton of music that was great. Now I can hardly ever find a band that I like enough to buy thier CD. Thanks to MTV granting status to bands that would almost never earn it on thier own. The kids who believe MTV is the gospel give those bands undeserved credability.
Sorry if it is confusing at all I just got home from work and I am tired as shit. 8pm till 10am is too damn long.

my point is that they are trendy radio freindly metal not anything close to hardcore, i mean listen to the music it is in no way close to hardcore, but to each his own i guess...

did it not occur to you that what was once punk evolved into "hardcore"...some metal has evolved into harcore...point understood..that band sucks....

I can't stand the nasal vocals in that band. Musically, I don't mind it. I have that new CD, Between the Buried and Me, and As I Lay Dying on my MP3 player right now, so I've endured it a little at a time. Maybe it's just familiar now. Who knows. They need a new singer.
