    So back to the OG,

Being one of the biggest UGA fans you will find out there, literally I'm 6ft 7 315lbs, I hate to see them loose. They have every tool needed to win every time, it's the lack of push and coaching from the coaching staff that makes us loose. Look at the SC game, we had a great game up til the forth quarter. Richt just gives up cause he knows even if they loose he still gets a shinny new Ford pick up. I've heard he's a nice guy, but not a great coach. As for Bobo, I just like his name and in the SC game he was getting the face of his players, something I've never seen him do in past games.

Boise has a good team, they caught UGA off guard. Don't get me wrong, I'm just as mad as Herschel Walker when it comes to watching the crap play calls in both the Boise state and SC game but they are still improving on a young team and switching out coaching staff at the same time. I will always be a UGA fan, but I won't really start rooting for them til next season. If nothing happens then, I'll just start repping GT.

I was a UGA person back in the early 80's. I have no idea why, but I started cheering for the Yellow Jackets towards the late 80's. Been a GT fan since. I like seeing them lose, but it doesn't really matter, either way. Later, QD.

It's a fan thing, I was born in Athens and pretty much lived near there my whole life. I'm a fan of anything Georgia sports wise. I just feel like if everyone was a fan of only good teams then we'd all like same team, I like a little diversity. But on GT related note, is it just me or are their first three or four games always no name opponents?

being a Georgia fan, then converting to a Georgia tech fan... pretty much means you were never a fan of anything.

Wrong on all three counts. Again, you've shown that an intelligent conversation can't be had with someone who's harboring unfounded ill will towards that person. Especially when the person is afraid to say why he/she is harboring this unnecessary feeling. Later, QD.

An intelligent conversation cant be had with someone who feels they have the right to mediate arguments because theyre a forum moderator. you never actually participate in an argument or offer an opposing view... you just say "im right, later QD" or "youre wrong, later QD" sometimes you mix it up with a "i like this, later QD" or an "i dont like that, later QD". You rarely have anything to offer to any conversation, but for some reason you feel your opinions carry some added weight because you're a mod? outside of finding you annoying, i harbor no ill will towards you.

as a passionate college football fan, i think team jumpers are douchebags. but thats another argument all together.

You haven't tried to have an intelligent conversation with me. You've always had something less than educational when addressing me, assuming I guess, that I was on that level. If I'm wrong and can be proven so, I'm happy to admit. Moderating has nothing to do with it. And I've never alleviated to anything otherwise.

If you're capable, try me for once, instead of assuming.

In that scenario, yes. But in the case of me being a fan of UGA and diverting more attention to GT, no. I stated that I will always be a UGA fan; my other statement was saying if UGA's coaching staff, along with it's many other problems, isn't fixed so that they might have a winning season in the near future then I will become more of a fan of GT than I have in the past.

Im not saying boise should get an automatic bid to the NC because they beat UGA im saying they are a good team and have proven it. That is all

I dont think Boise is bad at all, theyre a really good football team. I just get a little heated when i hear Boise,TCU,Cinci fans complaining that they got shafted when an undefeated SEC team went to the title over them. In my opinion, undefeated in the SEC = automatic title shot.

2009 Sugar Bowl was a good example of why i feel that way.

I'll go out here and say that I could agree with you there. I'm not an SEC person, but it can't be denied that this conference is probably the toughest conference out there. Consistently putting, what, 4-5 teams in the Top 25, with at least 3 of them usually in the Top 10. It's as if the SEC has a secret breeding ground that just keeps manufacturing good, solid teams each year.

How do you think Boise St. would fare in a conference like SEC? Do you think they could play at the same level they played against UGA for an entire year? Later, QD.

If someone is caught off guard by a team that has been one of the most dominant in the country for 5 years they are an idiot. Then again, we are talking about an SEC school here so they probably are idiots.

This caught off guard excuse, this they play in a weak conference excuse, this they dont belong in the BCS picture garbage, is just whining about a team that is not in one of the elite conferences beating up on the big boys. Maybe you could have used thlose excuses in '07 when they beat up on OU, but not today. EVERYONE circles their game with Boise, no matter what their conference affiliation or their ranking. Everyone wants to knock them off.

And to the fact that they play in a weak conference, the same team that beat the crap out of Bama in '08 would have been in their conference had the PAC 12 not come calling. The same team that went toe to toe with one of the best running attacks in the country and won the Rose Bowls last year would have been in that conference had the Big East not come calling. BYU, who beat Ole Piss and took Texas to the edge would have been in that conference had they not gone independent. You know that Utah St. team that gave Auburn and OU more than they ever asked for over the last 2 years? Yea, they were in the conference that Boise just left.

They do, it is called very low admission standards, well below that of most of their competition for recruits.

With Chris Petersen at the helm along the SEC name tag and recruiting budget, Boise owns the SEC within 4 years. 1 complete recruiting cycle to grab a few more elite athletes and, more importantly, depth. Playing a B1G and SEC schedule is brutal and in many cases team health is a major factor come late November.

At the very least, Petersen is an equal to Saban and Mack Brown as a coach. IMO, he is the best coach in the country. Every year he brings in 1 and 2 star recruits and by the time they are seniors, they are playing to the same level as the 4 and 5 star players at the big schools.

I will agree with the last part...the SEC is hands down the toughest conference ill never take that from em...now i will never say an undefeated boise deserves a bid over an undefeated SEC team but i will say and undefeated boise deserves it over a one loss team from the pac 12 and the big 12, only cause i hate oklahoma and their consistent bullshit high rankings lol i like demps down at UF, i mean cant go wrong with a world class sprinter coming out of highschool lol but as far as the SEC goes i forsee South Carolina out of the east and LSU out of the west, only caus bama is waaaayyy to young and inexperienced at qb.

    You're reaching so hard.............................

Louisville, Boston College, TCU.... and even.........LOLEast Carolina has beat Boise State recently in bowl games.

i guess a team that is 3-4 in bowl games since 2004 would do fine in the SEC. I mean..... look at how consistently DOMINANT!!!! theyve been vs the journeymen theyve been playing in bowl games.

Florida is 6-2 in Bowl games since 2004..... they were playing Miami, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn st, and the severely overrated yet undefeated Cinci......
Auburn 6-1 in Bowl games since 2004
LSU 6-2 in Bowl games since 2004
Alabama 4-3 in Bowl games since 2004

all 4 SEC teams have winning records in bowl games even with 5 national title games thrown into the mix.... yet Boise cant handle Boston college and East Carolina......... OOOOK.
East Carolina is 37-24 since 2004.......
East Carolina is 1-5 in their last 6 bowl games... the 1 win being Boise State.......

Even though Boise plays easier teams across the board..... because they "beat that one team that one year" they deserve to be compared to teams/conferences that are consistently dominant year in and year out.

As much as I hate to, I'd have to agree with you. While we are a 10:1 better team then we were last year we are still rebuilding.

Next year, Tyler Bray will be a BIG name. He's got his head on his shoulders right this year, and is already doing big things. I have no doubt in my mind we will be an SEC Championship contender next year.

If the team isn't Florida, they can suck it.

Moral victory for ur Vols id say. Looked like it was gonna get ugly early then UT clawed back into it. I'm just happy and thankful that nobody was seriously injured and i hope every student athlete has a good day at school monday morning.

I didn't get to watch the game, but I did manage to hear some on the radio. I definitely think we are headed in the right track, plus we are only graduating 2 starters this year and Bray has 2 more seasons with us. Hopefully we will be a contender again next year.

Was a combination of Florida's lack of discipline and a solid UT QB. Florida set a new record for penalties, racking up 150 yards worth. Got real sloppy after a pretty dominant 1st quarter. UT as a whole looked extremely out matched, Bray was their lifeline. Pretty damn good QB.

...What JV team did FSU find that backup QB on? Sacked 5 times, threw a pick, and the only reason he had a TD pass was due to a GREAT effort on behalf of the WR... all in 1 quarter?!

Biggest game of the year, your starter gets hurt early... Games tied, he wants back in and was cleared to play... Why leave him on the bench?!
