i personally like "The End of HeartAche" but i like "As Day Light Dies" a lot too. i also agree that Howard is a better singer the first guy, the first guy seem like he was trying too hard... maybe thats why his voice went out on him, For Howard it seems effortless.

yeah im black too, i wasnt really into this type of music untill i moved to GA and met my best friend. now i love Killswitch engaged, All that Remains, Trivium, and SevenDust, but it all started with Killswitch engaged. ive started to branch out to different bands.

On a note of heavier metal than KSE and ATR, listen to God Forbid. Seriously a great band that is mostly black. Saw them at the Masq a few years back and have been impressed ever since. They've toured with a ton of major metal bands but are still relatively unknown.

KSE was a decent band back in the day but I havent heard anything from them since 03 or 04, good to see they're still around.
If you guys are hung up on black guys in metal bands, check out Gaylord. They're what would happen if Isaac Hayes and George Clinton joined Slayer. They play in Atlanta all the time too. Or just bring it back to some Bad Brains if you're feeling something a little rawer and more hardcore.
