UGA Fires Martinez

Three members of Georgia’s defensive coaching staff – including defensive coordinator Willie Martinez – are out after the Bulldogs completed their worst regular season since Mark Richt became head coach in 2001.

Also out are defensive ends coach Jon Fabris and linebackers coach John Jancek after the Bulldogs (7-5) allowed 26.4 points per game this season – just shy of the school record of 26.6 points per game set in 1990.

I love the whole, "you're fired but feel free to coach the next game...and then after that you can gtfo". Fuck that, if I was fired, I'd be gone. Either fire them AFTER the season, or fire them and have them leave asap.

Should have kept the LB coach. He was producing some really good LB's. Bobo will probably be gone after the bowl game also as the offense was even worse than the defense.

the offense is not bad just bad game plan. They need to run the ball more like every other sec team and they will be fine.

They need someone to come in and make them mean again. Uga used to have one of the best defenses now they are soft

Joe Cox is a fifth year senior though, not a freshman with no experience. What has Bobo been doing with this kid for the last 3 years while Stafford was playing? Did he just hold a clip board the whole time? If you dont develop players you dont remain competitive. Bobo isnt developing anyone. He was riding the coat tails of Stafford and Moreno for the last 3 years.
