Default A female on the scene...

Ushering out the 80s was a real force for the females in the rap game. Through the 80s, we were listening to Salt-N-Pepa, Sweet P, Roxanne Shante. But when the 80s drew to a close, the newjacks of the scene came up. Queen Latifah being one. MC Lyte being another. She hit the ground hard, but, unfortunately, didn't last but a few years. Later, QD.

Mc Lyte was fresh... but after the 80's I say Da Brat and EVE were the best female rappers going on.

Brat had basically NO impact on the rap scene as a rapper or a female. Eve really didn't either, but since rap was more mainstream when Eve came out, she gained more of a following. I do like a few of Brat's stuff as she was a decent rapper. Later, QD.
