any soccer players?

anybody here play any soccer in high school or college, or used to? just thought I would see who else plays the greatest sport in the world :-D

I did but I am not anymore.... I am completely with you when you say that it is the greatest sport in the world! Screw football and especially baseball THE MOST BORING sport I have ever seen.......

what position? i was a goalkeeper. I played in high school, got a couple scholarship offers to dII schools in PA, been out for my second year now, and got an unofficial scholarship offer the other day. lol

Here's my breakdown. And it is true:

Started playing in 1976. Played every season(2 seasons a year) until 1988. I was a goalkeeper for all 24 seasons. Accumulated 240 games in that time. I allowed 7 goals in all those games.

I played 3 years of indoor soccer. After 39 games, I had allowed only 0 goals.

I have actually scored 7 goals, also. Four of those goals came while I was a goalkeeper. I have a letter, still, that was sent to me when I was 18 to come try out for a pro soccer team that was to be formed in Dekalb, called the Dekalb Generals. I also had a couple of invites to play in England.

even though i question the only 7 goals scored part, I will give you the large benefit of doubt and say that all those other shutouts were because your teams were all badasses and playing other teams not of the same caliber.

kristi and i played for a long ass time...i had to quit bc of my knee...couldnt take another injury to it

did before highschool....... once in it was all Volleyball until the end of college

Whats up, i played all my life, even before i came to the states, while i lived in argentina, and here i played all 4 years of highschool as a forward, made all county(gwinnett) only 3 times though, but for real, if yall get a pick up game im definetely in.

Played since I was about 3 (cmon I'm Colombian/Mexican) got to Classic/Premier 1&2, kept playing once I got here to GA... Brookwood Steamers Club, Varsity team @ Berkmar both years I was there. Cafecol in the Latin American League, Condor FC, then came my downfall LOL... Started playing Goalie w/ my Uncles co-ed outdoor team (El Trebol) since I experimented @ 'keep w/ Cafecol and had good turnout, started getting lazy/girlfriend/car clubs, and havent played in about 2 years.

Man I suck

I still watch it though, was in Colombia for the Copa America final in '02, watching Mexico/Colombia play in Barranquilla. Best summer I think I've had down there, at least since I was a kid.. went to every game. Americans in general will never have the same passion as the rest of the world. Too many commercials LOL

I played at least 2 seasons from 1st grade thru 12th, and probably 3 seasons for 4-5 of those years....

Greatest accomplishments we getting to play in the Olympics stadiums in both Berlin Germany and Munich Germany: I was living in Berlin for 10-11th grades. Won a European High School Championsiop in 10th grade.

After HS, played a few seasons of indoor mens-league stuff.

Been a LONG time though....

i played all my life up until 2 years ago when i tore my ACL and my MCL...after that i kinda play every now and then...i play forward...i made all county my junior year of high school, unfortunately that was my last year b/c i messed up my knee during a club game

...October 19, 2003 was the exact date...i had my surgery in december and now i'm back to normal...i'm down for a game!!! i live in lilburn...set one up and i'll be there for sure!

12 years, until the good man upstairs shafted me...diagnosed w/ chondromalacia patellae and after 3 years of insane pain (nobody believed me, until the swelling got so bad) I had two surgeries. $8k just so i could keep playing then after both the orthopedic surgeon told me i couldn't play anymore. Then he had the balls to ask my dad to teach him how to drive the '89 Porsche speedster he was buying (last year of the 911 turbo cabriolet) lol fucker...if i continued to play i was told i'd need artificial knees before i was 30. I should have just kept going...as a freshmen i was offered a full scholarship at Clemson for my junior and senior year of HS, just needed to keep playing how i was and have a B avg my sophmore year then i'd be up there the summer after and come back two years later to walk and be halfway through college. oh well. Guess Someone had a reason for it...just haven't figured it out yet.

I'd be game to play or help coach, after i had to quit i helped with a few private schools...
