Hey you's guys!

I don't know if ya'll have been to my MySpace like that but i'd like to get some feedback on my boy Quest. We made these videos a lil over a year ago but i havent gotten much responses from youtube.

I plan on getting us out there a lil more by making more videos and recording to my tracks so i'd like to know what the public thinks.

I'm no hardcore video editor or anything so some of the lyrics may be a bit drowned by the beats. I mean... i can hear them but if any of you guys are on the hard of hearing side (no offense, it happens you know) then it could be a task. If possible tell me what i need to do to get better sound quality out of these videos. I can imagine i should turn the music down a tad but share your thoughts nonetheless

He needs a mic. Does your video camera have a port to accept a mic? It's hard to hear him over the music.

Really though, his flow seems a bit choppy. I like to hear delivery [be it rhymes or just lyrics] flow...

To me, delivery is, plain and simple, feeling the music and lettin' the verbage jive.

No disrespect, but this is my initial take. --would like to hear him with the aforementioned recommendation.

Honestly? I don't see him going anywhere. He seems very unsure of himself and any capabilities he may have. He doesn't seem to have any rhythm or consistent flow.

This isn't the "old school" QD posting either. This is just me being a rap "critic." Later, QD.

cool cool i can dig it! I know you mean no discrespect. well a lot has changed since then he never ceases to amaze me. every time i hear him speak its a new feeling.

Perhaps we should record more written material.
Umm... unfortunately my camera does not have a mic port. those were taken with my old Vivitar P&S

Well your opinion is one that i really wanted to hear. because if in the same room you two would be able to relate to one another. he is an old school head himself and tries to bring that to fruition in his raps. It's odd that you'd say he's unsure of himself because he seems to me like it's effortless. I guess you have to be there to see it?
Like i stated earlier maybe he should spit more written material and actually do more orthodox recording. Once we go about this i'd like more feedback from you if you have the time to listen.

Indeed but from reading your posts in this section we seem to be on similar pages as far as music is concerned. So if any one would understand where we as artists are coming from it would more than likely be you. Well for the IA audience that is.
BTW we STILL gotta link up one of these days. ive been out of the picture game and i believe after you paint the car you deserve a far better photographer but yeah... still

He's voice sounds pretty bad.
I only listened to broken dreams and not feeling it..it seems like he was trying to hard to rhyme and sme parts sounded like he was mumbling.

But better equipment may change that..

I mean, shit.. Kanye sucks balls.. 50 barely opens his mouth and saliva comes out the corners of his mouth..

You just never know.
