50 is just being hood commericalized. Most of the people in the hood dont buy CDs, they buy bootlegs. There are so many artist that are so much more harder than 50, lived the life so muhc harder, but talk about other shit. I think eminem has talent, true, but Aftermath/Shady Records is really about "controversial" artist. 50 has lyrics, yea, but he is not a classic rapper. Get RIch wasnt a classic album. You put in a Nas Album, press play, walk away and listen tot he whole thing. Put in a Mobb Deep album, I literally press play in my car and only hit rewind, but never fast foward. Hood shit. 50 is here for the moment, and is just clever marketting. I give Jada respect, way before this beef shit, becuase Jada has always been hood. Man said he is happy of his album going platinum as a bootleg. Man is in mixtapes nonstop. All credit to 50/GUnit, they do their thing in the mixtape circut, but what you hear on a mixtape isnt what you are going to hear on an album. Like I said, the man is commercial

Its not all about selling records though! Brittney spears sells records. Nelly sells records. Hanson sold records. How does selling records translate into skill? It translates into something thats easy to market. Are any of us eating off of 50s millioins? What 50 eats doesnt make me shit. The most an album from anyone can do it give us entertainment, and a 50 cent album, mainstream or mixtape, has never given me as much satisfaction as listening to a Nas, Lox, Jada, Styles P, Sheek, or Fat Joe album. 50 can say "Well, I sell this!" all day long. So? I bet there are parts of the world he isnt known and WIlliam Hung is. All that talking shit doesnt give you more skill.

Styles are way too different. You know what, Ill give you that, Em would probally eat up Jada freestyling, because em is a battle rapper more than anything. But I think Jada shows his talent more than eminem. The eminem you get on CDs sold in stores and the eminem that you get on mix cds and as a cameo on other artists shit is entirely different. Youve got eminem pop and eminem hip hop

I'm getting old and senile. Can someone give me the cliff notes on what all the rivalry between these people is? I understand the commercialism part of it and how it helps sell records, but I just wanna know how and why it all got started.

I'm one of those "beat" listeners mostly, so I don't know anything about some of the lyrics these guys are throwing at each other.

I've just always been curious.

Hell, I just finally figured out what the ole Tupac vs Biggie thing was about. Yeah, I'm a little behind.

Ja dedicated a whole album to fighting back (Blood in My Eye)…. To bad it stiffed. 50 did the same and it went multi-platinum. Ja took aim via a slew of mixtape disses. However, 50 and his entire G-Unit crew did the same, and the sheer different in numbers made G-G-G-Unit the winners with tracks likje “Hail Mary,” and a slew of freestyles. Plus, it’s hard to fight back about being a fake gangsta when your singing love songs with Mariah Carey.

The NaS thing is a lil shaky to me...i only know NaS said somethin " we dont like no fake shit, we dont want that fake music, we dont want that 50 cent bullshit"...i dun kno why he said it and i dun kno what 50 did to him to make him say that

Another beef tho that wasn't talked about was 50 vs r kelly....he said somethin about r kelly at hot 97 summer jam ( big ny thing, if you from there you kno how big it is)...he was talkin about r kelly cause the song he did with ja rule and ashanti....and he said that if you down with 50, you'll leave with 50....so they said when 50 left thye stage, more then half teh people at summer jam left too

Jam master jay was working with 50 way before eminem and dre. 50 used to get shitted on in the industry who made it for his participation in "How to Rob". That why I was surprised to hear he was cool with Jay Z. But back then he wasnt really nice. The only thing that stands out in my head is Gun Runner, and that was the Kool Kirk version, not the version on power of a dollar
