Default Iris, by the Goo Goo Dolls

This song has the strangest tuning I've ever seen of any song on guitar...but either way, I'm enjoying myself because I learned it. Not that hard at all...just weird-ass tuning.

How many other guitarists do we have on here?

tabs=weak. they do help you learn some harder riffs/solos but i prefer to learn by ear

Yeah, like Fr33way said, almost all of their songs have ridiculous tuning.

And yeah, I've been playing guitar on and off since the 10th grade. I'm an acoustic fan. I love my Martin DCXE

    They love their Ds.

    D
    D
    D
    D
    D
    B

And a lot of other songs have just...Ds everywhere.

I've got an Epiphone Les Paul, a Takamine G-116, and my friend left an Ibanez acoustic with me for the week.

I can't seem to find the exact tab I used back in the day to learn this song. But this one is the similar idea (same tuning).

    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...s_ver6_crd.htm

It's obviously not 100% correct, but the tuning is actually something you can do pretty easily (drop both e's to d's) and I still think it sounds pretty good after you play with it a little bit.

EDIT: Actually, I'm pretty sure this is the one I used.

Andy McKee is sick. I love "drifting." Reps for you sir

Check out Don Ross and Keller Williams if you haven't already. Both are incredible on acoustic, and I don't know about Don Ross, but Keller puts on one hell of a live show.

Also, just in case you've never stumbled across this video, this has got to be one of the most impressive displays of acoustic guitar prowess I've ever seen.
