to be getting paid that much, he didnt look all that great today. im pretty sure those of you who was so critical of that win over the lions must be pretty upset, but we will see the season not over yet.

hes a rookie for a reason........hes doing ok,just needs to get rid of ball faster
man thats bull, ryan suppose to be all of that already remember lolOriginally Posted by HypnoToad
Well the offensive line wasn't really giving him anytime to begin with to get rid of the ball from what I saw.Originally Posted by HypnoToad

He's a ****in rookie, what do you expect? I think he actually did pretty decent after the very rough start, especially considering he wasn't getting too much time to pass due to the oline getting swamped. I'm still very happy with our QB, and the future looks bright. This year is a mulligan, I'm not expecting much from them this season (although I loved week 1 against the lions), but overall I am 110% happy with Matt Ryan, and all of our offseason acquisitions including Thomas Dimitroff, Mike Smith and all of our draft picks.
Give him time, nobody comes into the NFL and completely dominates. He needed this today.
He had a good second half at least. We made a lot of stupid play calls today. It was a poorly coached game. I guess we just need to learn from this one.
give him time. bucs defense is old but is still wise.
Man, he is a rookie! And for being a rookie, thrown in there like this with a poor offensive line, he did a good job today. First half, yeah he made some mistakes, but the second half he looked like a whole different QB.
He has a bright future ahead IMO, just needs to get some experience under his belt, thats all.
Which shows he is mature and can hold his own, and doesnt panic or give up after a rough start. 2nd half he adjusted a bit better and I think he will learn from it. You all have to realize this was the first NFL game he has played with a fast D line, Last week was his very first NFL game and that team was not that good so he had some confidence coming into this week, he learned each team is different nowOriginally Posted by aguynamedpat

No that you need to be put in your place by me (your posts do it for you), but you're fuccing idiot (as if we all didn't know that already). You honestly think that every athlete is going to have a great day every single day of their career? Just like the people last week were too quick to judge the Falcons positiveness, you're too quick to judge a bad day. You're a hopper. Root for the team that wins and boo them when they lose.Originally Posted by sshonda2004

lol ok im going to end this right now, first off i didnt say anything about expecting ryan to have a great day every single day or better yet game of his career. and second hell yeah i judged the bad game just as i judged the good one. what about all of the fans at the stadium booing their home team when they do bad? are they idiots too? its just entertainment and you are taking the fun out of it by being so critical. and last but not least it really does not matter what you have to say because your not as superior as you think and no I have not thought about not being stupid because then i would be frontin like most people in this world. Too critical? You made the thread about how he had a bad day and him making $72Mil. You were trying to bash him because of what he makes, insinuating that he should never make a mistake. If you weren't, this thread never would have came up.Originally Posted by sshonda2004

I was a Vick fan and still am but with this whole thing, I think we got one of the brightest young qb's that a city can ask for. Even Vick had to sit on the sidelines his rookie year for a little bit and learn the ropes of the NFL. Matt Ryan was kinda thrown in there to learn the hard way. I think so far he's doing a great job, granted it's only been 2 games. I would rather have him make his mistakes early in the season and learn from them and play with the knowledge later in the season. Atleast that way we can have a preview of how the team will look like next season....just my.02

i just think that his contract is too lucrative for a unproven QB, you know thats the type of salary a proven QB in the NFL earns. I dont take anything from ryan, he is good, but im not sure if he is great.
Ryan will showing why he got paid the 72mil. to me....for a rookie he is doing a great job he keeps his composure no matter whats thrown at him. If you wanna talk about anybody it should be JaMarcus Russell, I'm sorry but he has been pretty garbage. If it wasn't for McFadden they might have lost the game to the chiefs.
