And what's so wrong with encouraging people to get off their a$$es and vote?
I think people are raising a stink about it because by saying that people fear a black white house, Luda is calling them out and it makes them uncomfortable because he's right.
Obama ftw.

I cant believe we can sit here and say this is not a big deal and its ok.
if a WHITE PERSON made a song like this we would be CRUCIFIED.
THE ONLY PEOPLE MAKING THIS ELECTION A RACE ISSUE, IS BLACK PEOPLE!
All this does is deepen the racial divide PERPETRATED by the "black" celebrities/ploiticians/people that cant think for themselves.
Ludacris and Nas can jump off a cliff, they are just perpetuating and ignorant stereotype.

I have NO PROBLEMs with a black candidate. I would vote for Colin Powell in a HEART BEAT.
What i have a problem is that the issue is Obamas complete LACK of a record, flip flopping, no credible policy changes that he can articulate how he will implement them, etc. But when we bring that up, its about we dont want him in the white house because hes BLACK.
I really wish eminem would fire back and call Obama a n1gger and we need to keep the white house white, and **** all you porch monkeys.
Wonder if all you people would laugh then and just shrug it off as him calling people out for being uneasy about a black person becoming president.
fuc.king stupid

Theres a difference between having PRIDE in your own, which i TOTALLY AGREE with, and spouting off racial rhetoric that just gets swept under the rug.
Be proud if hes black, sure, all for that. But dont sit here and spout off racial remarks against others, and then sit there an point the finger saying "you cant do that to me"

To say race has no underlying tone of this election even with the comments of blacks removed would be ignorant. Just like people say blacks are voting for Obama because he is black I'm sure there are just as many people not willing to vote for Obama because of the color of his skin.. or for the fear of a black man running this country, sorry thats reality.

So i take it from what you're saying is apart from "what i should do", it would not be outrageous to go on the air and say, well i'm just glad theres another white guy running. because i'm sure there has been lots of black people doing that and its a total double standard.
sorry, did not pose in question form with a question mark

In all honesty.
IMO, I think racism will never die with that being said. Because a black person did say some vogar(SP) sh1t about a couple of powerful white people that he must be punished(per say). This is the kind of **** Obama really doesn't need. Why Luda would put out something like that........ That could possibly Jeporadize Obama chance's.....IDK I personally didn't listen to that hard. I do see where it would be offensive.
The only reason I am going for Obama is because I do want to see a change. Until then I will be paying very close attention to both of them. Hopefully the better man does wins.
Thats the mentality i HOPE for. Im not saying you SHOULDNT vote for obama, if you truly feel he is the better candidate, then thats your right and choice.Originally Posted by twinj
My point is that there seems to be a HUGE DOUBLE standard.
Ludacris and Nas can get away with anything they want, the rest of the rappers can do whatever they want, but if white america does something even close to racist, its a huge national issue.
I just hope that most people that hear that ludacris song stop an think for a moment about how racially charged, ignorant, and stupid he sounds.
There are other ways to get your political message out, listen to Lupe, Outkast, Andre3000, GangStarr, etc.
It just seems that the majority of the black movement feels they can get away with being racist, because at one point in time, they encoutered racism themselves. Its ok for THEM to use the word "*****" because it was used againt them. Its ok for them to lash out and say racist things in music, movies, etc because hundreds of years ago we had slaves.
If what ludacris said wasnt racist, i dont know what is, and if you think it isnt, ask yourself if a white rapper changed the names would it still be equally offensive.
I thinkthe problem is that in order for obama to appeal to the younger crowd, he had to be DOWN with the rappers and thugs. He has to appear to be a champion of the people , he has to give the little "pounds" to his wife, he has to appear with Ludacris and have him throw fundraisers. etc
Afterall if you turn your back on the rappers and other idiots, you end up like Condoleeza Rice or Colin Powell, your just not "cool".

If you think Obama should be voted for because it's "time for a black president" then you've missed the boat before making it to the dock. Obama is not the best presidential candidate, (which I think by far was Ron Paul) but he appears to be much more trust worthy than McCain. It'd be easy to turn this into a race thing, and I'm sure plenty of stupid people are doing that, but it misses the point, and doesn't help in objectivity.
Not only that, but I'm done buying this "terrorist" propaganda bull****, that these crooked old men keep coming up with. We spend more on defense than anyone else in the world, but when people want to attack us and get by our security measures, and it just so happens to be beneficial to certain political and financial agendas, it goes down like clockwork.
I'd vote for Obama just to keep McCain out. His policies are outdated, and make liberal use of ambiguous fear. The moment I heard him say "100 year war" I almost **** myself, and ran for the "security room" that I had rigged to the back of my tail pipe.
Not only that, but I don't think I've ever seen the old ****** actually look happy. He looks like an American hybrid of Adolf Hitler, and Joseph Stalin without the mustaches.
You could make the argument that McCain has the advantage in experience, but I'd counter with Obama has the advantage in education. Just because you've spent your whole life in manufacturing, doesn't mean you're going to invent the assembly line.
Edit: While I do think Ludacris's song had good, or at least well founded intentions, and inspirations, I think it's going to scare the rednecks (Fox News and affiliates) into pumping out even more Anti-Obama bull****. It was a bad move on his behalf, not because it didn't have a vaguely relevant message, but because like any ignorant fool, old red necks scare easy when it comes to unfamiliar things, and **** like that song will work them into a terrified frenzy.

CAN SOMEOEN EXPLAIN TO ME WHY EVERY PERSON THAT SUPPORTS OBAMA INSTANTLY BECOMES HIS BEST FRIEND AND SOMEHOW CONTROLS HIM
BUT...McCains controversal supporters gets swept under the rug... and why people are trying so hard to throw dirt on Obama over other peoples actions.
I mean its obvious it happens

Rappers do things like this to support themselves, there music, sell records, and get more publicity towards them or what they rap about. He just got alot of marketing value out of this probably. Stupid way, but it works.
Because Luda is more than just an Obama supporter, Obama has a relationship with him as has used him to campaign. The reasons for which I dislike Obama have nothing to do with his race and everything to do with his policy.Originally Posted by JITB

The reason his religious supporters dont get openly criticized is noone gives a **** about what they say. Ludacris, on the other hand, is obviously a very high profile supporter and is clearly open about it to the public, whom he can reach through mass media better than any religious dumbsh.it redneck can. If he's going to come out and say things like that, there's going to be criticism. If someone backing McCain with equal stature to luda came out with racist remarks, I assure you it would be covered. Not smart of Luda at all to start playing the race card, which Obama has openly protested against.Originally Posted by JITB
