um, no. i'm sorry that you don't like my style of music. i'm not hating on yours. it's not mainstream. i was not listening to rap in the 90s. meaning i went back "MYSELF" and knew that this is the music that i like.Originally Posted by SOHC MONSTER

they were mainstream but some of them were still good. a lot of bands were over rated in the 90's as well as pretty much every band is over rated today.Originally Posted by quickdodge®
i do have to say i honestly like quite a few of the rock bands in that article but they were mainstream. as far as that nirvana **** in the article goes, im glad dude shot his self or got drugged or whatever happened. his music sucked.

I'm just that guy that spends all his time printing.... T-shirts, banners, vinyl, etc.
"Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary.... that's what gets you"
Everything you listed was played on MTV 80 times a day. I believe I am like 10 years older than you or somewhere close so I promise I was there. Oh and btw, all the groups you mentioned were at some point "mainstream." You are better at letting things go in your mouth rather than coming out.
well i don't like them just because they were mainstream at all. if you knew my type of music, then you would know that this is the type i would listen to no matter if they were mainstream or not.Originally Posted by SOHC MONSTER

Nice try but luckily I didn't have to go through that BS paragraph. I believe early 90's doesn't cover the entire decade. Nice try but your better at recieving cumshots to your face.Originally Posted by Autumn

anyways, you need to have reading comprehension. if you read it, you would realize through the paragraph that they were going through the whole DAMN decade, not just early 90s.
there are actually a lot of good bands mentioned in that.Originally Posted by Autumn
there are. i listened to most of them, too. but nowadays, i'm not the type to like that music anymore really.Originally Posted by dohc4.6sc
the 90s makes me think of alice in chains and nirvana.
"By 1993 more hit alternative rock acts were on heavy rotation, such as Stone Temple Pilots, Soul Asylum, Tool, Beck, Radiohead, and Smashing Pumpkins."
good stuff right there
STP FTMFW
Collective Soul. now they're not the same.... but in the 90's i was all about some CS.
Unfortunetly Autum, It doesn't list the entire roster for the decade. Simply examples. If the groups you originally mention were not mainstream, why did (and still does) the radio stations still play them. Radio stations only play top 40 (which are in fact mainstream groups). If they played BS tracks that most people dislike then ratings would go down. Want to keep going? Google some more crap so I can call you out on it.

Music is a big part of my life.

and btw, like i've stated before. he asked what's your favorite 90s music. he didn't ask what you favorite 90s music was back then. i was a kid, i didn't listen to much music besides CCR, ZZtop, etc in the 90s. he asked what's your favorite 90s music. meaning right now, what is the music that you like that was made in the 90s.
Just bc you got owned, please stop trying to fight your way back to the top. Its not going to work.Originally Posted by Autumn
I originally said "your selection was stale and mainstream FTL." You countered with "its not mainstream"
We all know he didnt ask for any mainstream bands. We can read (being that you actually have to type an address to get on this site. Not to mention login and locate this thread.) you just decided to debate with someone bc you think you are smarter on this topic than anyone else. WRONG!
I am going to go watch tv with my wife. At least I can honestly say she is hands down smarter than you will ever be bc she is not an attention whore.
Peace beoch!
dude you gotta admit, alice in chains was/is badass. some of the mainstream 90's music was and still is really good to me. now on the other hand some of it was crap, IE: nirvanaOriginally Posted by SOHC MONSTER
