It looks alright. But I would like to see Mortal Kombat vs. Capcom upgraded like this, the effects look nice. Hope it's for ps3.

then that is UBER LAME because that is the whole purpose behind MK.
I had heard or read somewhere that this wasnt going to be a fighting game, more of a sidescrolling/3d game. You could be scorpion/Subzero or Superman/Batman and you fight through different levels.
But if its a all out fighting game, with no fatalities, then its going to be gay.

It is a fighting game like traditional MK, but the fatalities are gone.
only reason the fatalities are out was because of the DC characters..

Why would you pair MK w/ DC comics or Marvel comics characters? They are 2 different genres of characters. Now, MK v. Tekken, or Street Fighters or somethin like that, THAT would be a game i would buy
and watch DC get its ass whooped! dude MK characters are so different in ALL styles and ways... will there be MK weapons? will they bring back the LAME 7 different fighting styles AND weapons mode for the MK characters... just can't see it...

Doubtful. EA is working hard to monopolize the market. Note their recent attempt to take over Rockstar Games, and their acquisiton of the NFL franchise. EA makes good games, but their business is full of douchery.

DoA has been lacking in innovation for a long time. It's the Gran Turismo of fighting games. Improve the graphics, add nothing new.
DoA Xtreme Volleyball was fun though.

Well, I stand corrected. Looks like the MK guys convinced to people at DC to allow fatalities. There's a demo video on YouTube of Joker doing a fatality on Kitana. This is good news.

I don't see why MK3 gets so much praise. That game was f*cking awful.
MK & MKII are BY FAR the best.
dont get me wrong i loved 1 and 2 too. but 3 was awesome.
i remember when i bought my snes, my first game was mk2. i beat it so many times before i could buy another game. lol
I dunno man, things started to get too rediculous in 3. The ninjas started to look like crap (Sub-Zero/Scoprion/Reptile), blood and bones flying everywhere got silly, the levels and fatalities were more of a joke than anything, and the gameplay turned into a random combo button-mashing fest. I didn't like it at all.

i heard soul excalibur 4 is pretty good... i wanna play it.
I liked Tekken for a while, but it's been a face-lifted rehash for a while now. Tekken tag had some promise but it's execution was fail.
I've been hardcore addicted to SC4 for over a week now. The core of the game and fighting styles have pretty much remained the same, but new additions like adding abilities and special equipment add a new twist to classic gameplay. The character creator has also had me hooked with making fighters and unlocking items. Bandai/Namo made some nice additions without changing the original style of the game. They did the same thing with the .hack//G.U. series and it's why they're one of my favorite game producers right now.
